im getting very bored of this guy, their dynamic used to be so great since they were simply bar friends crossing the line w great chemistry, but it's dragging on too long with no real change or character development imo
it's like it randomly regresses out of nowhere; this story really lost its charm for me. such a shame :

hope we get some clarification why he's THIS into her in the first place. it's no secret that he's usually extremely emotionless and lacks empathy/voice of reason, so I don't see why he would stick around for a 10 year older woman who clearly wasn't interested and married in the first place - I want them "together" more for getting back at mincheol than anything, that's been the motivation built from this story thus far. we don't know this random, young, rich, murdering man LMFAO

I see some confusion in the comments; yes, he was a cheater, but on the day they were visiting the hospital for the last time and the dad saved Arima, he got someone to call the police and the teacher got arrested (it's mentioned he was on parole when Arima collapsed in the play).
The dad had bought the flowers for the mom, he mentioned this himself, and he stayed with Arima until the police came instead of going, since "my wife wouldn't wish for me to abandon a girl in need". He wanted to apologize and "redeem" himself, but was probably nervous and needed to walk around a bit, hence why he was around at some random bathroom, not with another woman or anything.
So though he is indeed a shitty person in terms of being a cheater previously, the rest of what you all are saying are not true.
Anyways, love this story and hope the author is resting well.
I will keep saying this, but god how I love an actual villainess
