Even though I know its impossible given the first three chapters... I don't want MC to be ML's past lover. I mean I don't mind stories where they were together in a past life.
But this story is just so good at separating MC from the ex lover. I feel like it would have a lot more impact if he isn't the ex lover. Especially since he isn't even thought of as his own person. He clearly wants to be acknowledged as himself and having him be the ex lover would just prove his fears.
The story is still incredibly good, but I can't help wanting this alternative given the overwhelming amount of BLs that follow the reborn trope.

This is actually such a "fuck you!" to the audience. Like this is the type of shit his ex did. Like I was reading the comments waiting for the angst to end only to see comments saying ML raped him. I didn't want to believe it, like this is the guy who didn't want to fuck without a condom bc it's a shitty thing to do. Now all of a sudden his morals did a 180. Fuck and this was genuinely such a fun read. Like man I'm so frustrated and disappointed. Like fuck this dumbass author, I'll just go reread nerd project.
Like honestly is the author unaware of that the majority of the audience reads this bc they are done with the normalization of rape in bl and want a genuine green flag ml for ONCE.
