To make my studies more enjoyable, I usually imagine the whole subject as a yaoi, so I go searching to make the story more accurate and closer to reality. It helps me a lot with history and literature, I spent 4 wonderful hours studying the trojan war because of achilles and patroclus. Maybe you could try it.
