The author confirmed it was not a yaoi, therefore it is not a yaoi. Simple as that. Many pieces of literature can contain some elements of other genres. However that does not mean it is the main focus. A good example is how some action or horror movies add some comedic scenes, but that doesn't mean that whole movie revolves around them.   reply

YouTube tracks anything you watch. If you like politics, they will recommend you political videos even if you don't agree with them. Same thing with any other topic. Doesn't matter if you like the specific add or not, the algorithm will only see the topic as it is and recommend videos related to that topic. Youtube also recommends videos based on t......   1 reply

I read it an hour ago due to the controversy. Contrary to what the comments are saying, there is absolutely zero evidence suggesting that it involves pedophilia. In the most recent chapters, the 17 year old even mentions that the 10 year old's comments on "boyfriend" and his attention towards his is just a phase that he will grow out of as the youn......   reply

Sui's question ( All 51 )

My Anime List recently posted some news on a new BL (specifically yaoi) anime. It's an adaptation of a manga called " Caressing the Nipples of my Hibernating Bear." Personally I have no interest in seeing the show nor reading it. However I was fascinated by the double standards of "NSFW" censorship on that site.

There were a couple of people who wanted to remove the cover picture, because seeing two chest exposed guys with booty shorts and somewhat questionable facial expressions is considered too lewd and not appropriate. The picture was removed and replaced with a picture of the title of the show (plus descriptions).

Upon digging into the depths of the MAL website, I have discovered numerous anime covers with NSFW cover pictures. I can assure you that some of them are a lot worse than the BL one. Now is this a question of censoring anything related to BL on MAL, because some homophobes and a couple of anti NSFW people hate those kinds of pictures? For many case, yes, as there are many people that like to spew out homophobic comments whenever anime adaptations look slightly gay in there eyes (cough** all male sports anime cough**). For other cases no, because even the cover page of Boku No Pico features the kids completely naked (Not posting the picture in comments for obvious reasons). In fact, the only "yaoi" tagged anime that have NSFW cover pictures feature characters who are or look like children.

So the "moral" of this story is that if the character is either a woman or a kid, 100% guarantee that MAL won't remove that NSFW cover picture.

Pictures will be posted in the comments below.

Small warning: I apologize in advance if any of the characters featured in the pictures may visibly look like minors. I'm not trying to promote such content. I know some people get "triggered" (can't find a more suitable term, sorry) about these kinds of things. So if you are, please be careful when you read the comment section.

Yes, the notorious Old London has drawn the public's attention again. If you thought surgery wasn't enough to make you dislike the guy, he has now identified as "trans-racial". He states that he has "transitioned" to a different ethnicity, therefore "identifying" himself as Korean.

Someone give me a free ticket to Mars.

(FWI, if you don't know who he is, he's the guy who spent a shit ton of money to look like one of the BTS members.)

So we all know that Netflix original shows can be a huge hit or miss. This time, Netflix posted a trailer of their new show called "Q-Force". Essentially it's an animated series about LGBTQ+ secret agents. The premise doesn't seem too bad at first glance until you watch the trailer. Personally, I found it horrible due to how many stereotypes are being presented. I would like to know your opinion on it, since there is a divide over what is considered good and bad representation.

Here's the link for the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fk9s-zTbq28

If the link doesn't work or if you don't trust links, search "Q-Force Trailer" on Youtube.

There have been some news reports circulating about a person infected with the H10n3 virus. I figured it might cause some concern among many people (including myself), so I did a bit of research and have found some information about the topic.

To clarify, H10n3 is an avian virus, which means that it came from birds. The H10n3 virus causes influenza or commonly known as "flu". There have been many avian viruses over the past couple of decades. According to reports form the UN Food and Agriculture Organization and the CDC, the H7N9 virus has been the most recent avian virus that has caused a mass outbreak in the human population with an estimated death toll of 616 people so far. Although those numbers are concerning, researchers also clarify that avian viruses rarely cause severe outbreaks in the human population.

Recent reports about the h10n3 virus indicate that it is not likely cause a mass outbreak. The virus is also considered "low pathogenic", with means that birds (notably chicken) are less likely to die from the virus. In addition, this specific virus is a "rare strain" meaning it is not common. Officials are keeping a close watch on it, since there have been more recent reports on avian viruses in Africa, Europe, Middle East and South Asia. One of the more recent ones was a H7n8 outbreak in Saudi Arabia, which mostly affected poultry.

There is little information about the specifics of the H10n3 virus itself, since analysis on the genetic data of the virus has yet to be released.

If you want some more information, check the links below:

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/china-reports-first-human-case-h10n3-bird-flu-n1269236

Quick reminder: best to take the H10n3 situation with a bit of skepticism, since it hasn't been long since the general public knows about it. In addition, there isn't much info on it, since there is one known case so far. What I mean by this is that there is little information being given in a short time span. Thus, it is not possible to conclude the whole situation with just a few news articles.

The links I posted give insight on the new avian virus and some other avian virus cases as well. There are many more sources that also inform on these topics, so I recommend to do some more research if you have the time to do so.
