Yeah well, fictitious rape material feeds into rape culture which is a whole other thing. Stuff like this often influences people perceptions of what rape is and it blurs the line between consent and assault. Thats why its illegal to make fake rape pornography using real people as well, doing it in real life isnt something im worried about since most readers have atleast 1 brain cell. Im concerned about the underage people on this website because they are much more easy to impression and influence. I know its not the Authors fault but if she's gonna make a rapey character she needs to show it for what it really is instead of romanticising it. That’s the problem with people reading these kinds of things underage. At least some grown people know how to depict the line between fiction and reality which is why I said it’s ok as long as they don’t bring it to reality. And if mingwa romanticized the whole thing, then she does bc it is her work and at the end of the day, she’s romanticizing fictional works, same with some of her readers. If fictional rape feeds into irl rape culture then it is that persons mindset fault instead of fiction. Fiction does do harm but only to people with weak mindset that doesn’t get the concept of fiction so they bring it to real life and hurt people that way. Only people who don’t get the line between what’s consenting and what’s not, is their mindset and education.
