Yea i dont rlly see much of a problem with it since the only sort of romance we got so far was unrequited and plus the plot can easily make up for the lack of romance
I agree! from the start it was never really intended to heavily focus on romance either, just like you said. It was only unrequited. Especially after the incident, I don't think "romance" is the right word to use anymore... it's more of a sense of longing and grieving

I got hooked into reading this despite disliking BL with a "plot" like this one, bc the mc looked like aether from genshin impact when I saw someone post a screenshot I first thought it was some kind of fanart or fanfic of aether and pantalone LMAO
I'm not only one who thinks leon looks like aether,I thought I'd give it a try as he looks like aether ☠
And Mephisto is a carbon copy of Pantalone, no kidding.
Shizuma is my biggest pet peeve but I'm kinda glad it got resolved... it still left a bitter aftertaste for me.
