I like this?? Lmao, contrary to what you guys say, the boss already knows Kaori has feelings for her best friend. He already knows they were sleeping together. He dated her knowing of that fact because he thinks he can steal Kaori from Ryosuke. He forced/forced her into the relationship back at the train station by saying "choose choice b instead of a" – assuming it is after Kaori's monologue at the kimono shop – because theey both thought Ryosuke already had a girlfriend. I'm not going to defend her actions of cheating but at least know that she doesn't deserve to die.

I'm at chapter 50 already and I want to stop this. I feel so bad for the old Chloe and how everyone just disregards her. They (author, story?) even made fun of her situation when the Duke apologized to the new Chloe — saying "you're apologizing to the wrong person" and the meme-y art style. Like the new Chloe just became hypocritical when in the first chapters, she felt bad for her. Nobody cared for her just because she has low self-esteem. Everything just doesn't sit right with me and I hate how everyone is just disregarding and hating her. But even so, I'm kind of curious as to how things will play out. So can I ask if things get better? Or the story at least regards someone who cared for her?

SPOILER
Not really, but New Chloe do talk with old Chloe thank to a magical orb. They are both happy in their new life and don't want to switch back. The old Chloe, free from her toxic environment and the pressure, was able to finally be happy and live for herself, choosing her own path to the point of studying for a certification exam. So even if I too believe that her abusers were not punished enough (particulary the butler and in some way the ML) and that her past was pushed aside, I will not call victim blaming here. The author made it clear that Old Chloe is very resourceful, that the only reason she was broked down so much was because of her envirnmeent and no fault of her own. That was a relief.

Thank you for the immediate response ╥﹏╥ I'm glad she became happy with her new life and that the two talked it out nicely. It's honestly such a shame the old Chloe doesn't receive love (she needs) from her old world but what matters is she becomes happy. So I'm satisfied with that. Thanks for the time and have a great day today!

I read for pleasure and fun. I'm sorry but I won't be reading something that I know I'll be disappointed with in the end. I just wanted justice for old Chloe and when I reached chapter 50 and they made fun of her again, I felt like I just had to ask to ease my heart. Because if I found out the author still chooses to ignore her until the end, I would have dropped this. Like at some point, I honestly couldn't really care about the duke and new Chloe because old Chloe was clouding my mind:(( so yeah...
Cute, so cute
