I loved the story a lot like a bunch. I loved the main couple but I think I liked this side couples a bit more and I wished we got more chapters on their story’s than the main couple. I know a lot of authors don’t really focus on the side couples but Noah and the Prince could’ve had an interesting story because there could be a lot more drama and I think that would be interesting. But overall it was a really cute story and this is one of my favorites now.

I love 19 days so much and I love all the characters and their relationship development with all of them, but I wish old xian would put the focus back on Jian and Zhang. Like I love He Tian and Lil Mo and love reading about them and seeing how the relationship grows better and stronger each chapter and the friendship between all of them but I wanna know more about the people we started out with and deepen their relationship and give them more depth and see their relationship grow. Just giving them more development and more background to them or yk like see the feelings grow and then learning more about each other and discovering things together. The last time I remember it just being about them was when Jian Yi found out about his dad. anyways that’s all for

at some point I also remember like a few years ago, the new fanbase (new because the older fanbase is very chill, and this problem includes both westerner and chinese fans) was being very mean to zhanyi like they were always asking for tianshan n the author was being insulted like crazy so now when the author started doing what they always wanted, they cannot take accountability of what they did. it feels like old xian is punishing these who didn’t ask for it that at some point i wanted to gatekeep 19 days bc
... it drived me crazy that the fanbase was never satisfied with what they asked for. they get tianshan, they want zhanyi, and i bet when they get zhanyi, they want tianshan. Same for the plot, they want angst when there are cute moments, and they want cute moments when there is angst. I don’t interact with ppl here in mgg, or in any social media anymore except tumblr n even tumblr it’s becoming very tense. 19 days is my safe place, it saved my life, not metaphorically, but m tired of ppl taking this story for granted.
PS : i agree with you on everything, as i miss them too bc they’re the reasons I started reading 19 days, n u can look at my older comments that i was always defending them since day one. and seems like sometimes don’t read the genres anymore, like it’s actually slice of life with slowburn, and they’re rushing the author when they already have china gvmt behind their back. I don’t this story to end like tamen de gushi, hell i am still grieving for my girls, but i just wanted the peaceful fandom I had like in 2016 (probably I don’t remember anymore). anw sorry for the rant

I feel you on the gate keeping part after hearing about this. (I didn’t know about this since I usually just read the stories/shows and keep my head out of the fandom because people get all toxic and crazy abt things and + I usually don’t know where to find fan groups to talk abt this stuff) and with the plot thing like I said why can’t people let the story play out! like let the author BE THE AUTHOR like damn if you wanna control the story so bad go and make your own, you see how hard and stressful it is being an author. 19 days is also one of my safe places, for me it’s like a break from my life and it’s something I can always go to when I need a break from all these toxic stories that these “authors” keep putting out. And it’s just a comfort manhua for me because of the story and characters. I love 19 days to bits and pieces. And I 100% agree that people are taking this beautiful work for granted. I do wish that the fandom was smaller and gate kept. this was also my first manhua I have ever read so it really hits differently for me. Also the genre thing I AGREEE like do people not know what words are anymore like what they mean?? stop expecting smut and just straight no plot because your weird. like if you want to read smnt like that read jinx and every other story like that cuz there are thousands like that. I also don’t want this story to end because we haven’t even gotten that far and we still have so much to see and learn about these characters! like people need to stop doing stupid shit and let the author do what they WANT!!! and it’s okay for the rant nice to know someone agrees with and enlightened me about 19 days. and sorry for this very long rant to you.
also do they not know how chinese dramas are? have they never watched the untamed, put your head on my should, metor graden!!! they are usually long episodes and a lot of episodes. it’s a very very long slowburn!! and plot development! like what do you expect from a CHINESE series!!!! books too! they go on forever because, actually I don’t know but they just like long series for some reason . like what do you not understand from the word slowburn IT’S LITERALLY IN THE WORD SLOW S L O W!!! gosh that just irritates me abt people. for me sometimes I wish it wasn’t a slow burn for some series but it’s still really enjoyable none the less like if they got together right away it just loses its magic. this isn’t a fast hook up like tf. And like yes I get mad and irritated when they have mutual feelings and don’t get together but that’s the best part of the slowburn like the tension is STILL there and I love tension and the giddy feelings. sorry I just had to add that to my rant!!!
Don’t worry about the rant I understand. I actually didn’t have any problems with ppl giving feedbacks, hell feedbacks are always necessary, but my problem was ppl not respecting boundaries towards the author. Sorry I might have exaggerated with the insulting part (only a few did but it personally marked me) but it’s rather more like fans harassing n pressuring old xian n treating them as a slave (still not better), mostly that they often have health issues (I still remember that year when they barely posted anything) so what i am asking for ppl is a bit of compassion, that’s it. And ofc as a fandom grow bigger, the less chill it becomes. at this point I avoid negativity n just enjoy the story, take a break when m tired of it, n then come back after manifesting for an update once in a blue moon, as long as old xian is healthy n not burnt out. what i learned about 19 days is patience... it isn’t just a story, it’s an actual lifestyle like am always reciting this everytime “no need to rush. it can be very frustrating, but in the end we cannot defeat time. we rush but to get where exactly? so let’s just get along with time n be grateful to be here today” i swear i became a certified monk bc of this manhua
