I kinda understand what you mean, but I guess, when it comes to Hacchi-san he always had some mix feelings, and he did enjoy, and he never wounded up being actually raped... so, I guess all those Ikemen together blurred my judgement so I did enjoy reading it...
I also disliked it at first, but for different reasons. I despise bigots and loathe the word "fag". So, the uke kinda ticked me off. I can understand past trauma being the reason for his behavior, but it doesn't excuse it. The seme ended up helping him in the long run.
