MY REASON TO DIE ended with A MERRY BAD ENDING.
●Merry bad ending: Ending where the audience finds it sad or disturbing but the characters themselves are happy.
She was shot and so she died but she wanted Cha gyeol to live on unlike their past lives where he unalived himself after her death. She promised him that if something goes wrong and they regress again, she will be the first one to greet him in the bus with a smile. So he lived on with her memories and died of old age.
It was shown that they regressed again after that. In all of their lives Cha gyeol was the one greeting ji-o in the bus during their first encounter. But Ji-O was indifferent to him everytime because she never remembered him.
One day He opened his eyes and saw his grandmother telling him to wake up for school. The 1st day, the day they everytime regress in. He had this dream countless of times after Ji-O passed away so he started for his day thinking it was yet another dream. But when he reached the bus stop, he saw Ji-O sitting at the bus stop looking at him with a smile. That's when he realised it's not a dream and that they have regressed once again.
The future is still certain whether they'd have a happy ending this time or not. But they were given another chance AND HONESTLY I'LL BE TAKING IT AS A HAPPY ENDING. Hope it helped<3

OMG. Thank you!! I really thought it was just a tragic love story and was so upset, thank you so much! I definitely take this as a happy ending, albeit bittersweet! I’m so happy! In my mind, they were finally able to have a happy ending.

I can now die with no regrets. The slow burn omg. The character developments, the growth of them, the plot depth, I'm so in love with this manhwa. The storytelling, the plot, the characters, the growth, the art, everything is mesmerising.
I started reading it long ago when it first came out and I dropped it twice reading the earlier chapters cause I wasn't quite fond of Serena back then. I thought she'd be just a bratty spoiled girl but omg no the way author explained the back stories and the reasons for her behaviour, everything makes so much sense. She's very sane for the things she's gone through.
Love how the emotions were portrayed in each episodes. We could clearly see them slowly getting enchanted by each other. Serena gradually letting her guard down around Eiser, getting more comfortable with him and looking at him with fond eyes rather than the fierce look. Same goes for Eiser, he gradually became softer as he knew more about her.
Also the hug after he found her in that room and the way he picked her up, idk if it makes sense but it was felt so warm and delicate, loved the panels. Even with all the blood splattering around, they gave me butterflies shskshksjsks.
I have many more things to say but all I'll say rn is WAITING 74 CHAPTERS FOR THE KISS WAS WORTHWHILE!!! NOW GIVE ME MORE OF THEM
