This isn’t spoilers but just a hazard guess at what is going on with the flashbacks and my plot theory. Feel free to comment with spoilers tag if this is correct or incorrect
Maybe they met in childhood and Clodan got obsessed with Ray. Clodan in childhood tends to get fixated on habits and Ray seems like the only person he got obsessed with, which is why he confuses if it’s actually love or not.
The part I’m confused about if that’s an actual memory or just a hallucination when they show childhood Clodan with a grown up Ray.
My theory is Clodan is obsessed with immortality because he discovered a grown up vampire Ray (her true nature) and in his quest with magic became immortal but cursed. I think Clodan was hoping to become immortal so he can become the only person for Ray…Ray possibly was immortal all along and maybe reverts as a child and loses her memories if she is killed…? (This is reminding me of another webtoon if that’s the case)
Ok so this is spoilers….
Don’t get me wrong I like the leads of Kylus and Valerie individually and their dynamic was complimentary. But damn this hit me hard with second male lead syndrome. I finish this with a bittersweet ending, an heavy heart, and feel sorry for Prince Edwin. I liked the idea of him and Valerie more conceptually.
From what I read on Novelupdates, it does. It's licensed on Yonder : https://m.yonderstory.com/titles/1327
Ok but seriously why does FL act so shocked every single panel about her son’s engagement when she was the one who casually accepted it in the beginning. She offered to train the daughter in law and then turned on Harsen for accepting it??
Training the daughter in law was just a bit of a threat to shut up the ladies at that time, if you remember correctly, they quickly shifted the topic afterwards since she's known to be strict and not the closest to her son so imagine how she'll treat her in-law if she teaches her. Not to mention, she's from Visarde which has bad relationship with the girl's family. She never liked the fiancé and didn't agree to the engagement as well. I don't remember her "casually accepting" it tho? Was that before her return?
Was it only me that was rooting for the second male lead in the beginning? I thought the emperor was a jerk and was hoping FL would go for the brother. It’s a tired route this whole - emperor/duke in the beginning of a contract marriage but wait they catch feelings and want to make it up with an overkill of gifts.
It’s sad FL had no backbone for how she was mistreated in the beginning
