Big fan of Yama but can’t figure him out. Is he into 704? Geumsun? Neither? Just enjoy fucking with both of them? Definitely most attractive cast of characters I’ve read by far but probably because they all have the same face. Thank god this is colored and they all have different hair colors.

I feel like everyone goes through an emo phase where you hate your life, hate everyone around you, and wish the world would just end already. Now imagine that you somehow happen to have access to the holy waters beneath a magical shrine and the heavenly bestowed royal blood to accidentally make such a sacrificial prayer. Oops.

I find it hilarious that the prince says nothing in his life is easy. Like, no duh, dude. You asked for all these problems??? Your teenage angst is the catalysis for this whole plot?

Anyway, I find the crown prince super enduring and relatable. He’s cunning but almost only reactively so? I can’t quite figure out what his deal is and it feels like he doesn’t really know either. His only clear goal for awhile there was for Sahara to grow but unclear how it played into his grand scheme. Did he even have one? Meanwhile, the Noble Consort is scheming left and right when the prince knows exactly who wants to kill him and could not appear more apathetic towards his assassins. So much ennui. I love this dumb dumb so much.

I genuinely hope Nadan is alive but very confused about how there could be any hope for this pairing.

Nadan was very much done with Suu and getting dragged into Suu’s business. His last words we saw were to ask the prince’s female guard to keep letting Suu believe he’s dead after they were done with him. Nadan told her they’ve been over for a long time - a fact the fortune teller told Suu but he couldn’t accept and even threw the hourglass. Metaphor for wasting everyone’s time with his stubbornness, perhaps? lol

For all we know the prince may have already let Nadan go. The prince may have seemed possessive and didn’t want Suu to leave but maybe because he knew Suu’s wish to leave with Nadan was not going to happen whether or not the fire happened. Nadan was done with Suu and whether or not he died for real it wouldn’t have mattered bc he wished to be dead to Suu.

Suu was miserable in the palace because he was obsessed with his single minded goal of running away with Nadan but I’m curious how he’ll fare out there and if it’s possible for someone with his ambition and power to settle anywhere else. He never wanted peace and quiet. He turned down Nadan trying to secure them a house to live together! His lust for power was greater than his care for Nadan.

Yeah, it sucks that Suu saved up money to free him and did horrible things for it but Nadan would have essentially been freed as a slave by someone who wanted to chain him down in a different way and already controlled him like a master. Suu never listened to his feelings or respected him.

I feel like Suu held onto Nadan in a very unhealthy way to desperately cling onto his first memories of happiness and dependability and as an outlet to cling onto what he thinks is his last shred of humanity but in doing so it made the horrible things he did seem excusable in his mind, made the prince distrust him by picking Nadan over and over again, and made him distrust the prince for reacting poorly to feeling used.

Even during their last meeting Suu acknowledges he wants to see Nadan but also doesn’t bc he knows Nadan hates him and has for a long time. And when Nadan was too nice and complicit during their meeting he saw right through it and blamed the prince for playing him. Nadan overshadowed and poisoned every genuine moment of happiness between Suu and Suryeon bc Suu was too stubborn to let the past go.

Suu wanting to properly bury Nadan I think has more to do with the flashback we saw of Nadan secretly burying the dead bad guys and Suu kicking their grave. It was important to Nadan so I bet Suu wants to give him the same respect and less so as taking on the symbolic role of widow or whatever.

Suu blames Suryeon for Nadan’s death and I feel like it will his motivation for running away in volume 3 but personally I think deep down never wanting to see the Crown Prince again is somewhat also rooted in guilt. He probably can’t face someone he felt a lot for, betrayed, and almost killed.

Nadan also had a confusing background I didn’t quite fully understand but for how many times Suryeon and his guards questioned his capabilities I wouldn’t be surprised if he does turn back up with revenge motives or is smarter than he looks.

I really hope Nadan isn’t dead. I hope Suryeon has something to do with saving him. And I hope Suu feels really dumb about it when he finds out and moves the f on.

Umm...Thanks for listening to my Ted Talk

I found some AUs on the author’s website but don’t know how to go about translating them?

Happy to send the links your way, or clean the RAWs up myself and upload the translations but desperately need help translating.

I have fed the images through Google translate a million times but still makes little sense to me besides looking like a modern school AU where everyone is horny and sleeping with Suu but I’m not sure ????

Does anyone know how many chapters will be in season 3?

Is this the last season? Feels like there's so much more story to tell.

- Nadan told the prince's guards to keep pretending he's dead after everything. Did they help him escape?
- What's with the foreshadowing dream scene in chapter 83? What does Suu ask the crown prince about "together" and who says "I'm awfully tempted"? I can't stop thinking about this dream. I have no idea what it could be but it's breaking my heart already.
- What wish does Suu make during the latern festival and never answered? Do they get to celebrate together in 2 years? T_T
- The book that Suu steals - why did the Crown Prince need Suu specifically for that mission? Doesn't he have guards or spies? Was that a test and giving him the dagger? Can Suu use the book to bring rain without a dragon? Is the ancient Shrine text the same as his native language?
- What becomes of the Crown Prince's curse from his mom that he dies betrayed by the hands of the one he loves? Is Suu going to kill him? Or will Sahara count if he was raised by Su’s hands and they become “one”.
- The Crown Prince and Suu discussing the Sugungga tale - more foreshadowing maybe? We know they've both tried running away but is suicide still in play?
- Sahara giving Suu the OK to betray him as long as he tells him in advance - LOL - but feels like it's going to end in tragedy, right? T_T
- The poisonous plants behind the Shrine Suu finds during the hunt - is he going to come back for them? Anything to do with the Crown Prince mentioning using his powers and intercourse to neutralize poison? lol (EDIT: nvm, upon my 3rd reread seems like the poisonous plants were used to explain to Suu his fever spells - but I did notice in chapter 20 the Crown Prince finding out the dragon’s powers are venomous and commenting venomous dragons are unheard of. But ADD that to the Priest saying healers can’t heal their own wounds without serious damage like eating from your own life source PLUS Crown Prince telling Suu one way to minimize burden on the healer is intercourse bc it’s great for neutralizing poison and replenishes vitality. My favorite theory is Suu fucks the Crown Prince back to life lol.)
- If the Consort's child is the 2nd chosen one, can the Crown Prince PLEASE just become a farmer and live a happy peaceful life? God I love him and his sassy guards so much. Hon Heegeon not being about this life is a whole mood.

SO. MANY. QUESTIONS.

The characters are so in-depth with clear (and frustrating) motives and the storytelling is incredible.

I've bought every chapter on TappyToon and will continue to do so but read up to chapter 123 of the raws and am lowkey angry in the direction. Still obsessed though and could write entire dissertations at this point.
