That's the thing, they're much younger now. Tia changed how her life was to go and Ruve has always cared about her it's just in his past life he was being poisoned and manipulated by Zena, and it was sent in stone by prophecy that Ruve will be with Jieun. Things aren't like that now because of how Tia managed to changed things and quite frankly she changed how Ruve looked at her. He was becoming truly aware of her when they met and she screamed/froze up and collapsed and he had no clue as to why.
