I know people hate the ml but like he clearly tried to break things off it’s not like he gave him mixed signals from the beginning it’s the seme that keeps coming back so toxic as it may be I dont think the ml is the villain here
Oh no I definitely am not excusing that everything to that point is shitty and he definitely deserves revenge but I dont think the seme WANTS revenge. It’s feels very similar to exotic love and the way the seme just goes along with everything blinded by affection.
If the seme wanted revenge I’d be on his side like yes manipulate the little shit but if he’s genuinely trying in this relationship that, at this point, doesn’t even feel manipulative coz hes outright being told to leave, then the mc is not to be blamed over how pathetically this relationship is going
I don’t know if I got my point across coz my english isn’t that good :/
I used to hate it when the bullies are just absolved of all the shit they put their victims through because ‘he did it coz he liked me’ like no shut up abuse is abuse but seeing him repent and try to make up for it is just so wholesome to see
This should’ve cone with a trigger warning tho because the depiction of assault is so real like the need to rationalize the rapists actions even if I know theres nothing I could’ve done
One of the best plots I’ve read with how it show’s different perspectives and no right way to living life or being queer and dammit I’m crying again
My fave part about this is that we got a dumb uke who is stubborn but this time he’s independent enough to live without someone ‘protecting’ him and he very clearly tells people to fuck off when he doesn’t like them not to mention an adorably dumb seme who tries to protect his hubby without becoming overbearing my heart can’t take this fluffiness(▰˘◡˘▰)
Are we forgetting about the random guys the seme would beat up that looked like the uke at the start of the manga??? Coz I feel like that’s a pretty important character trait we glossed over
Also people saying this story is trash- it is very realistically toxic. I doubt the author intended it but this mentally exhausting relationship is something I’ve seen like 10x in real life
