I wish there's an in-depth journey to discover Clark's psychological stature. I understand that the author wanted it to be mysterious but I could not help being greedy - his character is very intriguing. It was just assumptions from other people's perspective but I think there's more to it. How he masterfully read and manipulate others, his lack of emotions and attachment and his rules regarding his "interests" Too bad it ended before anything was revealed.

And imagine, if there are others he killed too. Like, when someone found out about his hobby or another killer who deviated to what he referred to as "interesting" or he if needs to protect himself and interviewee from someone else. And the last interview he had is with himself cause he's also a serial killer. Ahahaha

Why is it an insult? Or hurtful words? From the start everyone has choices and i think it's rather egotistical for anybody to think that the person has no other options aside from you. Because there's a second choice? Third choice? Instead of feeling depressed that these choices exists, should you not be happy that inspite all of those alternatives you were chosen instead and was considered to be the best???

It's because those words said in that context implied to both of them that:
"If it wasn't for circumstances, you wouldn't have agreed to marry me. You didn't marry me because you love me. Even though I love you".
It's not the same as "you're the best out of everyone!!" but rather, "you were the most logical choice".

hmmmm i think it really just depends on the person themselves....for example i used my own personal perspective on this: i have 2 sisters, i’m in the middle, my parents used to always compare me with my older sister with phrases like “your sister is better at this than you/she’s the best at this/you should learn from her” sometimes they would say to my older sister “you’re the most outstanding one (between us)” in front of me, not quite the same with FL’s “you’re the best choice” but it entails similar connotations

It wasn't really a perspective piece... that was a direct analysis of the story itself.
To you it might be that way, but it wasn't to the characters...y'know?
Your thoughts are valid that there could be a different way of viewing it depending on the person, but for Ercella and the Duke, it absolutely wasn't the case. They were said those words by others with hurtful intent, and then they said it to each other with hurtful intent.
The point was [what was the intent].

Duchess has postpartum depression. She's sick. She's traumatized. Her husband got deported for war while she's pregnant. Not long after the father in law which is a form of security has passed away. She was isolated by the vassals. Targeted by the relatives which made her anxious and defenseless. As soon as her husband is back, she witness a murder first-hand and the security she was expecting, she was not able to feel. If that was not enough her father also died and found out her sister got miscarriage (which made her think she can't be "happy" with her pregnancy). No one tried to understand her and she has friends to turn to. It's not helping that she married young either, both of them are immature and their relationship has a weak foundation. She's frustrated as she knows she's capable of a lot more but could not perform because she's a woman and an outsider. She's thinking about harming herself and her child, and inorder for her to stop herself for doing so she distracted herself with parties and neglecting him. I don't blame or hate her, though I understand why her son is reluctant to form a relationship with her. I don't blame the Duke either because surely anyone who comes back from the war is never the same as before, but I still can't help but feel disappointed that instead of focusing on this wife he's prioritizing the "other choices" and for turning down her eagerness to change. They desperately needs family counseling.

Sooooooo....... How did the last king satiate Harry's hunger after the war?
Historians: they were like brothers. They went to war together, shared a drink from the same cup, and always had each other's back. Rumors has it that they went as far as sharing a bed because the both of them are afraid that the other will be assassinated while they slept.
And after the founding king passed away his "brother" wept for days and after the funeral has never been seen again.

Honestly, the story and the characters sucks. But I'm a drama hoe and can't stop myself from reading this. I just wished the hide and seek was a little longer and a lot more dramatic, like chasing each other at a beach or something ahahaha. But dammmnnn I like where this is going, "Yas bitch, kill em with kindness". No matter where this is heading, I'm always gonna be here for the tea, and having a tea party with my fellow drama hoes.
This is fu--ing hilarious!!! How did the author ever thought of this!! I feel like the author is high on something to be able to create a master piece like this. I have to sacrifice my brain cells to understand the artistry this manhwa possess ⁽⁽ଘ( ˊᵕˋ )ଓ⁾⁾
