This had me intermittently gushing my eyes out and laughing my ass off back and forth. Thank you Harada, if this is the end, I am more than satisfied, because it is PERFECT. I love both characters so much, (shit, I'm crying again....)... but I have a special place for Momo, and his happiness is balm to my soul (/TДT)/

That Lucaon is truly something ( #-.-)
Trying to act all nonchalant pimping Kyon to Ryan, but when Ryan picks up the gauntlet and asks him what would he do if accepted the offer, Lucan gives him the death stare, like 'I'll fucking kill you!"... like, wtf Lucaon. Why did you even say that insensitive shit to begin with if the thought of Kyon with Ryan drives you over the edge?! smdh...

I think a lot of people are misunderstanding Minjae's "I like you" statement after the rape, and are completely missing the pathos of that moment. Minjae's thoughts before the rape is that he loves Hyengjo. He's physically sick (flu, neumonia or something), and he's experiencing a very deep emotional realization regarding his feelings and then, Hyengjo gets there and rapes him. When Minjae says "I like you", he's not saying it in the context of "please don't hate me or don't leave me" or some other type of subordinate plea. Minjae is in shock and half delirious at that moment because of the illness and the trauma of being raped, and the only thing he can cognitively process at that traumatic moment is the last (profound) thought he had before he was attacked by Hyengjo which is that he's fallen in love with Hyengjo and unconsciously says it; something that the mangaka uses to emphasize the pathos of the moment, that ironically and tragically, soon after realizing he loves Hyengjo, Minjae is terribly hurt by the person he loves.
Putting aside the inappropriate statements about "Stockholm syndrome", "rape", "this is the worst story ever" "this is one sick manga" etc. Seriously, the nonsense people write in these Yaoi forums just to make themselves feel morally superior; when even from the most biased subjective viewpoint this is neither the worst nor the "sickest" yaoi manga ever written! LOL... sheesh, what have these provincials been reading? and the inability of people to separate fiction from real life, and applying morality to a Yaoi manga out of all things...smdh...anyways, putting all that nonsense aside, this was one badly executed yaoi story, because its romantic composition was a complete fail.
The mangaka may have been aiming for sexy stoicism regarding the seme, but instead he came off apathetic and cold; a truly unlikable individual. There is nothing romantic about an indifferent partner who doesn't even blink about the possibility of the person he "loves" being potentially fucked (several times) by somebody else; and whose cruelty is exacerbated by an age gap that places the uke in a very emotionally vulnerable and disadvantageous position. Neither the seme's nor the uke's feelings were conveyed believably, because one never showed nor admitted to any feelings at all, at any point in the story whatsoever, yeah, till the very end we don't know how
or what the seme feels, and the other didn't recognize his feelings until somebody else put the idea in his head; therefore, their supposed love for each other is definitely suspect. Also, the relationship between the two adults and the uke's father was never fully explained, so we are left with more questions than answers; and since this Yaoi is kind of on the side of the older generation, the art and the sex are not compelling enough to overcome or at least somewhat compensate for the above mentioned deficiencies. Bottom line, the romance in this story is not believably romantic.
I love you. Where have you been all of my fujoshi life? Finally, I've read a comment in here that actually cut to the heart of the story itself and didn't just sound like grandstanding. Your analysis was impeccable, not only of the story, but of the other commentators as well. Thank you for taking the time and effort to write it. I will be looking forward to seeing more of your thoughts around this site.
You're tooooooo kind! but I'm glad you enjoyed my commentary :)
thank god somebody said it(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
