I actually really like that they're not completely in love with each other. Love takes time and effort so in that short span of time, of course it isn't mature yet. But there's a small ember growing, and that is care. They care for each other, enjoy the other's company, worry about the other. That's a nice feeling to feel.
Especially when so many stories nowadays are shouting about love but so many are toxic, warped and obsession repackage as something else.
