Well you can't blame the stories to be honest, blame the mangas. I've seen this time and time again mangas always cut a lot of stuff out from the light novel. The light novels normally cover up major of the "plot holes". Idk what it is with mangas and anime because the same can be said for Tokyo ghoul and Tokyo ghoul re anime. The manga gave everything and was COMPLETED when they made the anime and they STILL BUTCHED IT. They still left stuff out when the could have made it much longer and more detailed.
Maybe it's just the adoptation is the problem
