Grayson can't feel emotions/ has no emotions, the cause of it is most likely when he presented as an extreme alpha. The timing around puberty seems to be crutial. So you see him most of time immitating emotions.
Grayson told Chase some insensitive shit after his first rut, and since Chase is actually very emotional for an extreme alpha it had an traumatic effect on him. While Grayson doesn't really understand, because he can't feel any emotions.
That really is one of Chase problems during childhood, also with his other siblings.
