i guess i can see where the author gets their inspiration...LMAO
anywho, i completely understand authors wanting credit and fair payment, considering the popularity on illegal sites, but there are better ways to handle illegal websites and innocent uploaders without threats or doxxing. expecting work that can be easily reproduced and recorded to stay off illegal websites is simply ignorance. + mangago is not the only illegal website and there will always be another website to replace it.
ALSO, authors without licensed eng(or other languages) translations should not be surprised when translators upload to mangago or other sites. the author of this manwha claims you can just use an online translator but it is not easy and ruins the reading experience. some translators, like the dear benjamin team, were able to help raise money for the author in exchange for releasing chapters. idk i said too much LOL
out of curiosity but why did the author was ranting about them being ripped off their profit by illegal translation? just asking badbich
Just an opinion, but it’s most likely because most readers would rather read on illegal sites in order to evade the heavy financial barriers on Lezhin since each chapters are expensive. Basically, w/o illegal sites, readers have no choice but to exclusively access their manhwas through the official site/publication where authors are able to receive their money. In short, with the existence of illegal sites that offers free access to their mangas, they aren’t able to meet their standard in terms of money.
i did not expect a story about puppies and shapeshifting to give me that much pain and depression. props to the author for building it up like that </3
