There're pdf, epub and mobi files. I strongly recommend to read from the beginning. https://tgcfmxtx.carrd.co/
Yeah the manhua it's a a pretty good adaptacion to the novel. Starember (the artist) makes the tragic parts kinda light i'd say, it takes away a little of the angst. At least for now, maybe it will be different for certain parts. The novel on the other hand is a knife stabed directly to the heart lol
So true, this novel makes me think that I'm a little masochist. I don't know how I love so much something that hurts me a lot, every chapter of Xie Lian's past is a stab right on my chest , I have to take this novel slow or else my heart will be broken in a million pieces. but do I stop reading it? of course not. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
In this draw http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/heaven_official_s_blessing/nbt/br_chapter-4486/pg-5/ Xie Lian is holding a little perfume bottle because he's hurt and no longer can give off any scent to attract butterflies MY HEART CAN'T TAKE IT ╥﹏╥
-The story is dumb, choices where made
- The FL is likeable at the beginning, she gets some cool moments that i enjoyed but then she gets super mary sue, making irrational choices without considering consequences and her status (she escaped alone from the palace and went to the battlefield because wanted a change of scene, what? of course she gets kidnapped and puts people in danger but oh well FL is quirky)
- I don't mind the ML having other women at first, this is a historical novel, he's not gonna be some virgin. And i like harem drama. BUT-
- TW: he r*pes her, yep. And personally after that i couldn't enjoy the romance, plus the writing didn't make it that great to pass it by
I'm currently reading a novel that makes fun of this type of FL and tropes, I highly recommend it. https://www.novelupdates.com/series/after-transmigrating-into-a-short-lived-white-moonlight-had-a-he-with-the-villain/
well. about the r*pe part.. it was a turn off for me too. but frankly speaking, in that era, being married meant u must serve ur husband. in that aspect JWJ never forced her that much to serve before. & YZZ didn't talk about her uneasiness with him too.
about that particular night, as they were both fighting & YZZ was not considering JWJ's explanation.. JWJ threw that option.. & YZZ accepted it & initiated it..
though I'm not saying what JWJ did was right. it was wrong & JWJ should repent for what he did.. but it was not fully r*pe. it was more of dubious consent as JWJ never would've harmed her family even if she said no. YZZ herself agreed with that much later..
don't hate me. I just explained what I understood about that part ( ̄∇ ̄")
I read this for the first time and it's even more pretentious than AHR, the last one being a little more enjoyable to read. This was just plain boring. I don't know, the author wants to portray a deep story with deep characters but still fails to do it. It just feels overblown. Like the conversations between Akari and Kazu, i don't know if it was because the translation but most of the time i was like "what were they saying?"
Before this I re-read Kimi ni todoke after so many years and i was able to appreciate it even more. Characters have consistent grow, even those who just seemed secondary in the beginning.
Anyways I've always felt negative towards AHR and author's work in general. After this that haven't changed.
