The author said they would end up happy and together “in their own way” so I’m not giving up on the pairing. Keep in mind, neither of the people who are saying their feelings aren’t real are in their heads and know what they’re thinking. It’s all just guess work, even we’re not in their heads. We never see their thoughts so nobody knows. Personally I think it would be best if they were separated for some time and sorted themselves out. They might be able to figure out where to go from there.

I gotta say, I’m glad they got right to the point and didn’t waste time. Slow burn is fun but I prefer fast paced stuff. Chapter 18 and you’re already confessing, good now get on to the other stuff.
Their personalities have changed since the beginning of the story. I’m not complaining tho. Also I think it’s the funniest plot point that they decided to make our MC just straight up bad at acting at first. He really took a beating in this story.
