you don't understand the situation, the reason people hate on subin on hyung's behalf is because he DOES take care of subin and give him a place to stay, there is finally someone looking his way wanting him and he's being ignored for the guy that treats the uke bad (up to now). He even admits it himself and i believe the last chapter shows Subin making the conscious decision to manipulate hyung's feeling, subin says "i want your love to end up worse than mine" which can most obviously be interpreted as that subin realizes hyung loves him and manipulates him out of bitterness for his current relationship with hyunwoo.

Uhmmm i'm sure the line "i want your love to end up worse than mine" is for hyunwoo so he will look at subin just for once..

he wasn't thinking about hyunwoo at that point though... the only time subin thought about hyunwoo this chapter is when he's telling hyunwoo (in his thoughts) to have a happy life with the noona. This chapter wasn't about hyunwoo, it was about subin and the hyung.

i mean, subin was with hyung and thinking about how he manipulates hyung and how hyung hates that about him so it's logical that he'd be talking about hyung when that sentence is said. I honestly don't even see why i need to argue that point tbh, it was extremely obvious to me who he was talking about, it was while he was talking about how he manipulates the hyung, why would he suddenly go hyunwoo in the middle of that? "i'm a dick, i manipulate hyung and hyung hates that about me, i hope that hyunwoo's love ends up bad." like, what? there'd be no flow...

in my opinion, he's actually talking about hyunwoo. the sentense continue "so that you would look at me, even if it is just one", and then hyunwoo appears. he wants hyunwoo to look at him. At least this is how I interpreted, but it's a bit confusing so I might be wrong

personally, i don't think the text has anything to do with it showing hyunwoo going into the room, i think the text (to me at least) was clearly towards the hyung and it was just showing what hyunwoo was doing after that.

Nope, he meant Hyunwoo's love. At this point, even hyung has not yet realized that he has developed some feelings for Subin. He is taking care of Subin because of the sex (he said before that Subin's face was to his liking). This if course will change, but for now, both Subin and hyung know that they are in a friend with benefit relationship. For now.

sorry for the multiple responses, i had to go back and read again. So, Subin says "i'm a stupid and powerless victim. I know that, so i need a person who can comfort me even if i fall and crumble. i need you. I know it. He hates this about me. Even while i'm saying this, i'm hoping your love will be unhappier than mine, so that you would look at me even if it's just once." Subin says all of this while acting all sad and asking hyung not to kick him out. i see two interpretations of this: 1: Subin knows the hyung is in love with him and that he's hurting the hyung every time he goes to him for consolation sex and still makes the conscious decision to seek out hyung every time he gets hurt by hyunwoo because he "needs" the hyung for "comfort if he falls and crumbles" and subin doesn't feel bad about hurting the hyung because he's actually hoping hyung's love (for subin) ends up worse than subin's own love for hyunwoo because it might turn hyunwoo's gaze towards him somehow (maybe he means he's trying to lead the hyung on and flaunt the hyung's love to hyunwoo to make him jealous?). or 2: (I THINK THIS IS THE MORE LIKELY INTERPRETATION) isn't it just describing the relationship between subin/hyung/hyunwoo? all that text is is subin acknowledging that he knows about hyung's feeling for him and that even though he knows he has feelings for him he knowingly hurts him for a little comfort when hyunwoo hurts subin himself. Even knowing that he's got hyung over here hurting and in love, he's acknowledging that he only REALLY loves hyunwoo. when subin says "i'm a stupid and powerless victim. He hates this about me." hes talking ONLY about the hyung and his feelings for subin as well as subin's own conscious decision to make use of him regardless. when subin says "Even while i'm saying this, i'm hoping your love will be unhappier than mine, so that you would look at me even if it's just once." subin has moved on from discussing his guilty relationship with hyung and has moved onto discussing how "even while saying this" (that being that he knows hyung is in love with him and that he's hurting him when he asks for the booty calls.) that he is still only in love with hyunwoo and doesn't even think of the hyung as anything more than comfort.

If you read the last raw chapter (20), when Hyung was kissing Subin, and Subin had this shocked look on his face thinking "Does this person love me!?!?!?".

I totally know where you are coming from though. That monologue part was confusing because of all the scene jumping. But I think chapter 20 cleared it up that Subin really didn't know whether Hyung has developed feelings for him.

Tbh, Hyung hasn't come ro term with his feelings either. He reacts very strongly whenever Subin mentions Hyunwoo, but on the other hand, he constantly fights against himself, thinking why he needs to care about Subin (this will be more prominent in chapter 18-20).

go back through and read it again, it's not clear enough to be making any decisions. you should read the response i just left and see what other interpretations you can come up with as well. in my opinion the first part of the text is clearly exclusively about hyung up until he says "even while saying this", then he moves onto talking about hyunwoo. Though it is possible that the "i'm hoping your love will end up worse than mine, so that you will look my way even just once" part can be also be interpreted as that subin hopes hyung's love for subin himself will be worse than subin's own love for hyunwoo because it might somehow result in hyunwoo looking subin's way (if this IS the right interpretation, then i think subin's saying that he knows hyung loves him and still makes the conscious decision to go to him for comfort and knowingly hurts him, he does this knowing he's hurting the hyung because he wants the hyung to be more obvious about his love so that he can make hyunwoo jealous?).

mmm... i've learned from experience that raws aren't to be trusted until they're translated. i mean, if this IS the case then i suppose we'll find out soon enough.

Yes, exactly, I interpreted as you wrote in the second point. Subin was taking about his relationship with hyung in the first part saying he needs him to confort him. Then in the second part he realizes that even if he wants hyung to confort him, he is still in love with hyunwoo. Here Subin starts talking about hyunwoo hoping his love life would suck so that he could understand the pain Subin feels. That's why it was a bit confusing. Thank you for explaining it really well because I couldn't, I suck at writing :)

i mean, i'm sure you've got reason to believe that you can understand what the raws are saying and what they are trying to convey, however i've seen quite a few people on mangago who were just stating what they thought was happening and ended up being wrong later or even people who could actually read the raws but were wrong due to the translation to english being an issue. we'll see. i don't mean any offense by this, just being cautious and going off of what i'm seeing right now.
