Like Erich isn't just accepting that and ofc they all consider her family. And I think she said Oppa in the original translation which is both used as brother but also by a girl for an older man in general (like idols or friends). So I'm not too weirded out by that.. because we are readers and we know they aren't related by blood + we know they had feelings for a long time... I'm sure tho since they grew up as family none would take this lightly well.
Again I hope this kinda goes as a tragedy as I understand how I myself would be weirded out (I get too immersed in stories that don't make sense lol).

it's isn't so confusing actually, but maybe the storytelling caused this. anyways, our athy is born from the love between diana and claude. as claude didn't want to lose diana because athy had a tremendous amount of mana, he wanted her to choose him not athy. but diana decided to give birth and athy's existence became the demise of diana. heartbroken, claude used black magic to forget diana and erase his feelings. however, meeting athy before the magic fully established in him he started to remember etc. apart from their relationship, the emperor lucas cast aside preciously take over the anastacus' body to take revenge on the empire and lucas?? to prove himself. so they are using jeanette's black magic to further curse claude. but athy now broke that curse by using the sacred tree. idk if this helped, you can ask more if there's smth you are curious about!
Its too much out of character for him to worry for her only when she leaves. He abused her and always brought her dead animals, using his magic to hurt her too. It's toxic af, don't you dare yall for that. I would understand why he acts like that but not support. It's incoherent

It isn't out of character. He's just either a sociopath or a psychopath. His toy has been taken away so he is reacting. He doesn't know what caring for someone is. And that is something most people, dispite upbringing, know.
Sure he may not get that she doesn't want dead animals cuz he's also an idiot. But to not know that busting into a person's room, waking them up in the middle of the night, and dangeling them out of a window is wrong? Yeah, thats not just being an idiot. Boy's got major issues that even his shitty upbringing don't cover.
