Part of me thinks that the reason why they can't really solve this problem even if they already dated for 10 years is basically because during those years, nothing really happened in their relationship? In simpler terms, there were no (male) crushes involved in their 10 yr relationship pso they dint really know how to approach the situation. You can't really just know the other person's thinking just bc yall lived together for a decade or so, at the end of the day, a person's reasoning can be wrongly rationalized. But hey, I've yet to be in a relationship so idk
It's a reasonable thought, and makes sense. It doesn't matter if you've been with someone for 10 years or 30...when a problems arises, sometimes they don't get resolved as smoothly as one hopes because everyone is acting in the moment. It's not like they mentally prepared for it. Even platinum couples can still fight over silly things. The reality is also once you turn 20 your personality is already solidified and it's hard to change unless you make a conscious effort.
the reason why haedam has an overprotective mother is bc his father is part of a corrupted company. his father is an accountant and he knows all of this. In short, since his father has all the evidence of money laundering, their family is in constant danger. Hence, the mother being overprotective.
The story then progresses where the two are now lovers, and the end of the countdown is nearing. Of course, the two, specially the seme (forgot his name, sorry) has anxiety over the countdown. What if it was really connected with death? With the world ending?
Then stuff happens where haedam and seme are walking home but then, intimidating people stopped them. Surprise, surprise it was the people who are the enemy of the haedam's fathers company. Long story short, they get in danger and somewhere along the unravelement of the story, haedam saves seme. They were soon rescued and was in the ambulance but it was too late and haedam bleeds profusely. Seme starts bawling and imagines a future where he and haedam finally goes to the beach. They were happy and during those moments, seme realizes that he wants to love and live with haedam until they get old and gray. He suddenly snaps out of his trance when he heard the heart monitor suddenly beeps to a flat line. Seme looks out on the window and he saw the countdown was on zero.
Practically, since I want this to be a happy ending, a miracle happens and haedam was revived. The last chapter is filled with seme spoiling and loving haedam more bc he was afraid of loosinh him again. He wanted him to live a long life with him. The last chapter is shown to have the couple finally visiting the beach. The manhwa ends with Haedam saying "the sky is beautiful" because they no longer see the clock.
The seme realized that the clock was not a countdown to death but a countdown where the seme finally realize the things that he wants to do in life. Which is to be with haedam.
Honestly, this will NOT happen but I can't say I don't want it lmao. I'm just a sucker for heart warming stories turning into angst but then having happy endings.
Imagine this: watarun finally wants to confess his feelings but it was too late bc Miki is now with Hara. Miki also finally learns how Watarun toys with him so he gets emotionally hurt. Watarun desperately begs for Miki with the lines " can't you just please like me again?". Imagine that happening with author delivering it with angsty ass flow and expressions.
I was kinda mad at the way they approach things bc it was a mess MESS but reading thru the author's note I say it was the right move. Sometimes I have this problem that I automatically want every character to see every misunderstanding in the best and mature way possible because of standards bla bla blahhhh it really went off my mind the the mc and ml are teens w/out serious relationships beforehand so they may approach things stupidly. Also props to the author for not making every character gay HAHA not bc I hate it but bc it didn't feel that the author was milking money from the LGBT scene
