I don’t understand why you all think MC is the problem? He is literally a poor guy who got groomed since he was a child and doesn’t know better. He is constantly getting manipulated and is cut off from contact with normal people. He was basically groomed, indoctrinated and experimented on. How is he the problem? Literally insane levels of victim blaming.

Just because someone is a victim doesn't mean you have to like them. You can find someone to be boring and uninteresting even if they've had a terrible life. I'll be honest with you, this MC is a little boring. He's very one-dimensional. He doesn't have much of a flesh out personality.
That's not his fault, he's not real. It's the author's fault for only giving him one personality trait.
I'm not reading this because I like the MC, but rather because I want to disgusting groomer to get what's coming to him lol.

Can somebody explain what is going on? Why is the story focusing on MC's brother and their childhood and what happened to MC?

Fucking great but why in the fuck would I be interested in ML's brother when I'm barely interested in the rapist and abuser. Let’s go back to MC? He is the only likeable character and author literally abandons him to do a flashback with annoying motherfucker and his wonderful rapist brother? Who thought this would be a damned good idea? HUH.
Explain to me why would any esper choose F class guide over S class guide? Like what can F class guide do for him? Bro, the original plot didn’t make sense.
I think he had the S class as a guide and the F class as a romantic partner
I think it's still possible for espers to receive guiding from other guides. And maybe, he's obsessed with that F class guide because of "romantic feelings".
Apparently their matching rate was hogh despite the class differences. And also, romantic feelings ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

That doesn’t make sense, because then he would sometimes still need to sleep with the guide. Contact guiding wouldn’t be enough for a high class Esper.
But still, the relationship would be messy since guide would be a third person in the relationship.
Yea, that's also what I thought at first.( ̄∇ ̄")
Spoiler*
However, later in the story, it's explained in more detail that it's possible due to the high compatibility rate between the F-class guide and ML. In org story MC have a low rate with the ML
It depends on the Esper or Guide themselves if they want to have a "sexual/intimate" guiding. Usually, holding hands would be fine, mostly, the Uke here is an S-class guide so it wouldn't be difficult for him to guide the Esper. Doing intimate or sexual stuff is not necessary to guide an Esper. That's how guiding works, based on other stories I've read so far.
That’s a straight up plot armour bullshit. Logically it doesn’t make sense.
One of the examples I can give you is “The S-Class Guide as Sweet as Honey”. And also, I'm pretty sure that Esper can have other guides as long as the percentage is high enough to guide them.
That would be fine if ML wasn’t an S rank himself. If he was A rank it would be possible for him to only do hand holding, but since he is an S rank, even if the guide is S rank, if he uses up too much power, he will need to have sex.
I'm currently reading the novel lol, this story is quite weird but interesting as well. I'm so sorry for spoiling you.
They also have the role of Omega and Alpha. The supposedly main character is an omega and an F-rank class and this main character is not an omega(?). I think the rate match thing plays an important role as well because the main character has a lower rate match with the ML, and Kim Jun has a higher rate(?). Having a low rate match could be worse when guiding, so I guess, guiding with a worse rate match wouldn't work even when the Esper is in berserk. And I think, Kim Jun(supposedly the main character), even being an F-rank but having a higher match with the ML, his guiding would work with the ML. This is just my guess based on the novel, I'm still in the early chapter and the Berserk thingy isn't yet mentioned. Besides, this is my first time reading where they include an F-rank x S-rank and literally with Alpha and Omega in guideverse.
Oh gosh, the world building seems a little messy. I've seen a mesh of omegaverse and guideverse and it can be done nicely, but here it seems to be really stretched out to fit the narrative. The author should have also taken time to make a kind of introduction if it’s not the classic concept and goes against the norms.
It never makes sense, even if they have high matching rate the f class could never provide the energy necessary for the s rank to live, this kind of plot is always so forceful and stupid, they stablish how important rank is to later trow it out the window for convenience sake
