I was a bit skeptic seeing so comments calling her a doormat, but so far she seems kinda fine imo.
Except not ratting out the selfish asshole ML who broke into her room drunk, and then again when he forced a cat on her.
I low key dislike her for that, but in the later chapter I've gotten distracted from it, so I have some hopes.
Still, if the ML stops fixing himself like in the past few chapters, and she keeps bowing to him I might start hating her, who knows.
I dont think ML is that way. I've read upto 35 chapters in a different app and the ML and FL both are in good terms though there will be a letdown from the ML. The FL isnt a doormat, shes actually a very strong and a different kind of character. There will be many morerivals and the story is progressing really well.
I don't even care if MC ever gets a boyfriend. This is amazing.
(In fact, I'd love it if he meets a girl who also knows it's a BL world and they get together. I mean, it's basically a "last 2 people on earth" scenario. Plus he'd be pretty safe if he ends up taking the "only friend with a girlfriend" mob chara spot.)

Not really, the step sis want everything the MC have, and she will intentionally report it to her mom and dad so she will what she wants. Because that’s the reason why she think everything evolved around her. And yes I got this from reading the novel’s spoiler(the manga makes everything quite light-hearted but from spoiler, she will want everything mc does and she literally report every “grievances” to her dad. And the novel ending wasn’t satisfying because nothing happens to the father so he could see how inhuman he acted.

Although I do agree with her at least trying to get away, you sometimes have to think about the time and situation that occurs.
From what I've personally seen from other isekai mangas, the noble families mostly live farther away from town. That is why they use carriages to get to places.
Also, there are not always kind people as the man who is willing to help her. If she walks out like how she is, then most people would believe she is a peasant, a servant, or a runaway slave. They would most likely bring her back to her parents, trying to get money from them for taking care of her.
Another thing, with the "dog's death" think about how many animals are left on the streets and you just happen to see one dead. That is what she thinks will happen to her: where no one will care enough to listen or help her and she would just die from undernourishment or starvation.
Once again, I do want her to also escape and find a strong backing, like the Monster Duchess and the Contract Princess, but she still does not know anything about the world outside. I would like her to fight for her right, I would also like her to turn the tide on her "family" by proving that her abilities are the best in their history, just like most other isekai.
Although you want a strong MC, you must also look at why the artist draws how it is shown in the manga. Sometimes the answer is by looking at other isekai with similar plot points.

But then she didn't settle her affairs for her old self either? She's just missing with no explanaition after getting hold of a great job.

I mean not much logic is seen on this series. The murder thing aside there are a lot of other unlogical things going on, but I think that's what makes this so entertaining. It's hilarious.

She could probably have easily, like, called an ambulance or the police and said someone jumped off the building as she was walking past. Ooh and she got hit and hit her head, and now is super confused and can't remember anything about herself!
