Cus he gives Eunwoo false hopes then shuts him down constantly by friendzoning him or saying "I'll never love you". He does that, but follows Eunwoo everywhere, pesters him and does things that would give people the wrong idea. He pushes him away but doesn't want him to be with anyone else either, it's kinda frustrating. I just personally feel bad for Eunwoo who clearly likes him :/

That's what he is doing, but it's still a frustrating thought TT-TT because essentially, if he really cared about Eunwoo and didn't want him to fall in love with him, he should have left him alone and not try to find him. Instead, he makes the situation even more difficult than it already is

And when they were younger the first thing Taeho the Mighty said WHILE SMILING to distressed mermaid after finding the scale in his mouth was YOU'LL BE ALONE YOUR WHOLE LIFE!! (FUCKING THANKSSS) And he repeated later when they reunited YOU'VE NEVER BEEN LOVED (FUCKING THANKSSSSSSSS, AS IF I DIDNT KNOW). At least the young Taeho was super full of himself and only seemed to care about his own feelings.

And generally how Taeho doesn't listen, does as he pleases, still gets possessive and flirts with the mc and then chats up some girls while telling the mc that they're friends. Manipulative bastard.

And he keeps mentioning that he does it all for the mc but what has he actually done to the lonely and suffering mc who has lived his life alone, as if somehow Taeho was the one who went through a harsh and strenuous experience.

(I hope that it'll be explained later on but for now it just seems so hypocritical)

Sorry for the rant but right now I haven't got absolutely a single reason to like him.

But what's the point of the mermaid's descedants and the sorceress' descents getting married? I thought that only they are allowed to be in love, or is it something like they get married to prevent falling for anyone else?

But if what you're saying is right it explains his behaviour. Still I think it would've been better to just leave Eunwoo be and choose his own choices in life. Why forcibly try to control him like a toy? To keep him alive because Taeho loves him and thinks otherwise Eunwoo will absolutely die?

Wow I would welcome that plot twist! It would change everything!
