shes in an abusive household and always feels like shes an underdog in the one other place than home she has so yeah when she had the upperhand on yuhyeon, who is just in all aspects is better off than her yeah she takes it. she wants to take the reigns on her own life even if it makes her a weird person. and lets be for real shes not as crazy as him. and obviously what she did wasnt okay and im not saying shes a good person but yall are too harsh on this abused and mentally unwell teenager for me...
i agree tbh. it’s rare for us to find a flawed mc that’s written to not be a good person but we also don’t have to root for her either because the story is very objective and i feel like the author wants us to interpret her actions however we want because of the writing. we KNOW gaeul is making mistakes but it’s up to us to see how she reacts and how we feel about them! personally i feel bad for her like yes she’s wrong for trying to use this boy and manipulating him but she has always been isolated, beaten by her family, and has been suffering in poverty her entire life.. like there is a reason behind her actions and i personally don’t believe she is inherently evil and is more so morally grey at this time.
right i feel like shes an actual morally gray main character and usually people care less about a characters moral ambiguity if theyre a man but thats all im gonna say on that
