I side with the mc. The mc does what she wants when she wants it. She doesn’t have a responsibility to act according to other people’s wishes. She doesn’t owe anyone a restriction on herself. Yes she is reckless but she is able to do so because of x,y, and z reasons. She works hard and strategically to protect the people she loves. Nine would do the exact same to protect the people she wants.
Nine is getting annoying not because his care is too much (well kinda), but because it feels like he’s overstepping. He’s a butler and friend but he’s allowing his own personal wishes to interfere with mc’s progress towards her goals. Mc doesn’t owe him anything (she’s acting based on her own want to protect her loved ones) and yet he’s acting like she has a responsibility to uphold whatever he wants for her. To the extent where he’s visibly upset and unprofessional towards her. Obviously that’s not that big of a deal because they’re friends and stuff. But like dude, leave her alone ya know? It’s her goals and her future. You may not like how she is getting there, but the best you could do is unconditionally support her. (Which nine does obviously but the way he’s acting rn is kinda sus). Until he’s in a relationship with her, he doesn’t have a say in her actions, so confess you dummy!
