Because as much as I hate the mother, I think Shinwoo's decision is quite realistic. What can he do? Blame and hated her entirely even though he still have some issues? Bearing much hatred toward someone will only burden themself. Hating someone is exausting.
I still hate the mother, but if that decision make Shinwoo move on and feeling better about himself, good for him.
