FL has to run away from her ho.e in fear of her life. She hides in a winter mansion with a broker she knows and hopes to hide out until she can leave the country. The broker tells her the sea is frozen over and that she won't be able to leave when she thought he could. She later decides that sitting around is pointless and tries to leave in the night only to almost die and be saved by the broker, now, she really is stu k with him.
