Honestly tho, it's perfectly fair that the author has favourite couple.. I mean who don't have a favourite something right? Fav clothes, fav actors/singers, even favourite pets. Andddddd the most important piece of info here that people seem to forget, THEY ARE THE AUTHOR!!! So who are people to get mad at to? I mean the author would probably just draw only their fav couple for a few chapters just out of spite or stop drawing altogether for a few months..who knows? And I mean the author never draw only one couple for each situations right? Both couples are drawn in the same situations just different things to do and at different places, just the order chapter published first that people assumed author's favouritism. Neither does jinhyeong but seong rik gonna live his entire life wondering if that was true even if he knows deep down jinhyeong didn't mean it and only said it in the heat of moments. Every time something bad happened to seong rik, he will wonder that maybe what jinhyeong said was true after all. I'm not invalidating jinhyeong's trauma but at the end of the day he's privileged whether he wanted to or not but seong rik was abused from his childhood and his only solace was his mother. and to use his only solace to make him doubt that maybe he is the problem all along that made his mother leave was the lowest blow to be used to hurt his best friend.
