This reason was just the half of the whole. Just like I said, do some research. The Artist was also being mistreated by her own agency, she couldn't tolerate it and that's how she decided to stop.

(If u haven't watched the untamed series, it's a drama adaptation of a bL manhua but turned into a bromance due to gayseries being illegal in China. The MC and the mL had its fandoms editing their video as couples, the MC almost had to retired. Why? The fandoms sended him death threats, he was mistreated, booed at. He was finally able to make a comeback due to his fans who supported him.) Morever we never know, what if Starember was also treated this way but she never said it to the public.

I myself I don't understand what more do they want, the art is peak 1000/10. The amount of dedication given in the art can be seen from the Artstyle. It's a great shame, I bet that they'll be way more dissapointed with the new artist. The artist Starember, they themselves didn't want to give up on it, infact TGCF was like 70-80% popular mainly because of the art and hua cheng's story of him waiting and lighting the lanterns for Xie lian. And infact, the Artist loves TGFC, through their twitter we can see how much they adored and love drawing mini side details and mini arts. It's not that they decided to give up instantly. I don't really remember how long but before the Artist's official statement of them leaving, there were already talks on how Starember was being mistreated, it was a shocking news. I would say, they struggled for a very long time under their agency.
They finnally decided to stop being used as a puppet by the agency and moved on to create their OWN unique story under the name "unnamed sea".
Or else who would want to stay under such an agency who mistreats you?!
They may have left and dissapointed the readers but they did the right thing of looking after and putting themself first. And this is not about supporting the Artist's right of leaving a manhua, but understanding what they had gone through meanwhile creating a masterpiece under such pressure and mistreatment.

And moreover, china ain't like other asian countries, when creating as well drawing bL manhwa's and novel, they are not safe at all from the Government. Like I've said before, GAYs and LGBTQ are like illegal af and seen like a nuisance and hated in China. As for Korean there's a limit but not in China. You culd be jailed for even drawing 2 men kissing each other if your personal information as the Artist of the image is exposed, it's quite sad and a lot of work being an Artist who draws BL manhuas since they need to keep their identity hidden, so comparing china and korean is like comparing fire (china) and water(korea).
