Honestly, I didn't think I'll be back here with a statement, however, when someone tries to justify the hypocrisy in the comment I was referring to, rubs me in the wrong way. They provided some good points in the first part of their comment, but when they said in summary that this manga is more realistic then the yaoi, so it isn't hypocrisy...... I mentally passed away. Being kidnapped then raped and tortured is very much realistic, which makes it even worse since you're trying to justify many yaoi rape manga by calling it fiction. Isn't this manga fiction as well, so what makes it so much more worse than the others? Simple answer it's not and the way these people have been trying to portray this manga is so over dramatic. Also why cant people just enjoy reading the manga without people to ruin it for them. After reading a manga if you dont like it leave because what's the point of you ruining the vibe for everyone else. Like girly we are on a illegal site reading free manga, so stop trying to be a voice of reason against rape manga when you yourself can't do what you preach.

I agree I’m not saying rape isn’t an issue but the stuff on this site is fictional. People are reading fiction on an illegal site and they get so worked up trying to be the “right” person.

These people think yaoi rarely have rape and sexual harassment. Even if it's a fellow man, holding someone else's ass without permission is sexual harassment, and this is often used in yaoi plots and framing as a joke.
these people will forget the rape in a manhwa story just because the characters have complicated and deep pasts, and boom manhwa rating is above 9 with comments like this: "tHe StOrY iS sO gOoD" as if the story deserves a certificate of appreciation, while the author only gives a dark past and handsome characters. while the storyline is commonly found in many manhwas. . Honestly, I'm sick of these people.
Why is someone suddenly bringing up how sexist this manga is......... this clearly isn't and if you and your male best friend are different from the main leads and that's normal. Why are they giving this whole rant when they clearly dont know the term sexist......... Also how the hell would they say this manga sucks because there isn't consent but then goes to like and read some dark and prombelic yaoi manga where the MC is typically raped by his lover. This manga clearly has more consent then some of the stuff you're reading, but you just want to shit on it since it's a straight couple........ I'm not saying it isn't okay to read some dark and kinky yaoi I read some and liked them in a weird way, however, when you try to shit on a manga then read a manga that is the same stuff you excuse the first manga of doing then putting that second manga on your list of already read is very hypothetical. Keep the same engery girly and stop using terms if you dont really understand them as it's harmful to the message and meaning of the term.

The other stories was protrayed to be bad or evil or just porn. But when its subtle and normalised in stories like this, it's problematic.
A great example of a comic that have dark themes but isnt problematic is harada becus they dont romanticise rape nor downplay the effects of trauma on the victim.
This comic however, brush off consent , insert sexist comments here and there, etc etc, without addressing it? its not an issue if the reader understand its just fiction like you and me but if the reader thinks that real life romance is something like this, thats where the problems arise, young readers might be taken advantage of by people like the dude in the comic. So this comic is a bit like grooming the readers to think a dude touching u without permission in a classroom is normal.
Im not trying to hate on the author, just trying to spread awareness to some of the younger readers.
There is a difference between full on dark themes and mind fuck compared to uwu the dude touched me without consent but it feels good so its okay and i love him. the latter looks so normal that some people might miss that irl thats not supposed to happen. While the former its easy to tell this is just fantasy and its wrong and there is consequences to the victim such as trauma or stockholm syndrome.
I'm absolutely angered from what a person said about how the MC should act, her trauma, and how she isn't a strong and independent person. Why would this person state that MC shouldn't be spiteful and try to get revenge on her past bully that literally bullied her to the point she didn't want to live anymore. And why is this person down playing down her trauma and the things she went through. And why the hell would they fucking compare her situation to Messlia and states the MC here is not independent because of Messlisa. Like are you a idiot. In Beware of the Villainess it's set up to be more fictional and comedic, while in this manhwa it's more realistic especially with how it portrays the time era MC is in. If Messlia was put into what the MC's situation here she would have been killed off or sold to a rich man. The definition of a independent women has many meaning and so what if a woman wants to more dependent on a man its perfectly fine. If that's want she wants to do then let her! Also why the heck did that person's comment have more likes then dislike. Whoever liked that comment did not understand this manhwa or even paid good action the the plot and characters. Understand whatever a woman wants to do even if it's being a house wife it's their choice not yours and that's the meaning of feminism. Supporting other women even if what they want to do is different from you or your views.

Melissa isn't even a good comparison because she was, if I'm not mistaken, an adult when she died, and she lived an entirely normal life before that. This character was a young teen who committed suicide due to severe bullying. The place they're coming from is completely different.

They said that the MC here isn't independent because she went to a man for help rather than doing it herself. Which is clearly impossible with the time era she is in. She literally got slapped in the face by her father because she didn't want to interact or get close with the emperor. And I completely agree with you our MC here is smart and resourceful, which not many isekai villainess are.

I saw it and i 100% agree with you. I was gonna reply to that comment but then I wanted to save myself from the headache since i know that commenter was definitely a complete idiot and i don’t wanna lose brain cells while reading their replies because it’s clear they aren’t gonna understand and will just try to justify what they say instead of realizing how wrong they’re. It’s really pisses me off how they think and believe that women who have support from men aren’t independent. Anyone can receive help and still be independent. I agree and when she started to compare the MC to Messlia my brain just completely destroyed itself ╥﹏╥ I wanted to just leave and keep on enjoying this manhwa, but knowing I didn't say anything haunted me. Also Nemesis you're my savior for replying back to them and trying to give that person some common sense, but clearly they didn't take it and kept replying about their questionable and ignorant opinions.
