Can someone explain to me the problem about the license for the store opened in the common people's area? I have trouble understanding it. And also, sorry for my bad english
So basically the whole "problem" was that the prince accused Chloe for doing illegal business bc her store wasn't under her name rather by a second owner, even though yes it is her business she didn't want the people to know that a noble made a tea store for them so she entrusted her business license under Smith's name, but her business has also been approved by the King so that means the store is legal :) cmiiw!
From The Prince pov, it is illegal to develop and earn money from business that are not yours. The Prince already checked all the document. But the shop and business was written as another person assets.. yet he believed The Duchess earn money from them. He truly believed the shop was hers.
From The Duchess pov, she wanted to do business for commoner's sake. Gin substitute and such. But the perblem is, commoner would not come to a shop/business that have "noble's smell". They will be afraid with the high price. Even if it somehow is cheap, there's fear that it will be only a scheme from the nobles. Chloe afraid, putting her name on the shop and any documented paper will make the commoner hestitate to come and buy. So Chloe put it all of it on another person's name.
Just like I said before, The Prince already checked all the documents. And not once The Duchess' name being seen or written. That's why he said it was illegal.. While actually, The Duchess already talked to the Emperor about it. To hide it for just a little while, until the commoners accept the black tea as daily needs.. In the end, all the shop and business are legally owned by Chloe by using other's name with The Emperor's permission.
Does my explaination make sense enough?ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
