let that song remain unfinished... it's not like he knew Yuki to be able to correctly convey what he meant in the song... if it were dedicated to Mafuyu, then all the more reason not to... their story is unfinished, so let that song be unfinished too... does Uenoyama have to do everything so they can all move on from losing Yuki? give the guy a break! everyone's being so selfish..

I also think it's unfair for Ue to have the responsibility of finishing that song. He has feelings too ya know?! ╥﹏╥ But I guess I could also understand why Sensei is making the story go this way.
As it is, Mafuyu, Hiiragi or Shizu cant move on because they have a different take from what happened to Yuki. They are hurt, but also confused. And thats what makes moving on hard. Ue, being the outsider, sees things for what they are, and is shown to be quite understanding of their situation.
Character-wise, Yuki is so very different from Ue, but what they both have in common is their love for Mafuyu. I think although it is unfair for Ue, he has what it takes; both to finish the love letter song and to ultimately give them the closure they need.

it seems like everything's okay and all but there are still underlying problems that have to be addressed... i feel unsatisfied and uneasy at times despite how they seem to be happy now...

Well I didn't mean exactly address address it. Like they may have to talk about it because their friend is sneaky so who knows if he might tell Masato. It may be in the pass but with Asahi acting uneasy like this it will either play out like nothing is going on and just give a happy ending or actually talk about it.
Tbh, in my opinion them not talking about it would make this story feel incomplete
when Taiga told Rin he's "the one who loves him most in the world", tears just fell... it was so sweet and so sad at the same time... ╥﹏╥
