I just finished payback and it made me realize what exactly my type of dynamic i like and what kinds of story i prefer when it comes to romance.
I want to ask if there are stories on the same level as payback. Have a bottom that isn't defined just by the top (like how the backstory and leading topic is around how much guilt the mc felt, not because he met the top once). Have a story that isn't build around the romance, but have the romance be a side product of the plot. Like the plot can be differentiated between the romance plot and have it become a standalone story that i want to read without the romance. Because i realized that i come to get bored of romantic stories very quickly, especially if the other non romantic plot isn't all that thought through...
I like how badass the bottom is and how the top is clearly in love with the bottom. How they came to realize who the other person really is. How the top is searching for that one night stand. I like the quicks they each have..
I like how the first chapter immediately hooked me, how it all started because of the bottoms wish for revenge. How the bottom functions without being associated with the top. How the bottoms backstory plays a big part in who he is and how it really matters when it comes to both plot and romance.
Does anyone have a bl recommendation? Because i feel like I won't find a story like payback again. I love the story, i love the struggles and i love the moments between the top and the bottom, their chemistry. Thanks in advance

This is a shounen ai so sorry if u want smut but Sangyang:the Wanderer is so fucking good. Its pretty slow burn and focuses heavily on the plot more than the romance, and like you said the romance is a byproduct of the plot.

I get it with specifics. Ive tried alot of other bls and with alot i meant its at least close to tripple digits, but only a handful had really evoked any feelings that go beyond "haha pretty men gay". So i guess im pretty desperate to find another story to punch me in the face like payback.
As long as story is good enough to capture me no spice is also oke even though that makes me a bit sad as I'm a person who likes spice, but cant always have my cake and eat it too, but then again payback is still on going and thats my cake that i can eat and have.
Ill check it out. Not big fan of slowburn nessesarily, but thats mostly because slowburns drag on.. Like first time holding hands after 90 ch and in those 90 ch its all about whether they'll hold hands.
But i also know some good slow burns and as long as the other non romantic plot is interesting I'm in

ohh lol noo there are stories with smut and also plot focused in the list i recommended also the two i recommended seperately despite the tags and being manhuas as in they don't usually have smut cause of Chinese censorships, these two beat all odds!!!

Okok, anyone has any good webtoon/manga to recommend me? I want some good shit, like good story, good plot, good pacing, good characters, good dialogue, interesting way to draw your panels, put your boxes, etc. I'm trying to learn about how to write stories, especially webtoons and im just interested as to whats considered good and read it myself. Im also open for any discussion as to why you think its good or stand out!

As of rn I don't approve any man to be the right ml. But its so obvious its the black haired dude. Which he choke on his rude ass. Tho the pink guy isn't any better, imo I'd be pissed to be dragged around like that, especially if it means to leave someone defenseless behind...
I wish the author would focus on one ml and write the romance around it. I found i prefer stories where the main couple gets the biggest focus to be so much better than stories where you have to divide your Focus between multiple bf's. Bc its so much easier to write an amazing story around one couple (their weakness, strength, character development, past) than if you have to go into other love interest as well, knowing who the main ship is... Sigh.... And that also means less time for girlie to find about the modern life. These scenes are the funniest
