THIS is why he is buying him stuff, he noticed that for Hyesung in particular, this is the way to court him. He doesn't have any evil inner dialogue about "i'm going to buy his love, mwahahaha!", it's all said innocently. Any time he's by himself he's all bubbly, not all evil villain-y. He talks in private, so you know he's not lying, with Heesoo and says he plans to marry Hyesung. The plot progression is pretty explicit.

Do you really realize how dangerous a decision Hyesung was trying to make out of nothing but anger, he hadn't thought it through, "tofu face" had grown up thinking Hyesung was an alpha, he JUST found out Hyesung is an omega and revealed he used to have a crush on him. Ok so I just reread this thing word for word. I didn't miss a single point. And I have come to the conclusion that the way Dojin is being treated is his own damn fault. First he raped Hye sung. Then he told him wouldn't ever do it again. Then he raped him again.
