I started bawling when I read the scene about Louisa as a great grandmother & with Graham sitting by her side in a rocking chair. All Louisa ever wanted to do was to have a family and children and be happy. In her heart she held the tragedies all her previous lives had, but now she was finally able to became free from that curse and gain happiness!!! The scene where Jun and Markus meet up again on Earth was also touching.
This girl is not weak! A character isn’t strong just by mastering martial arts or magic or the political scene! A weak character is someone who is a pushover and who gets constantly taken advantage of by the other main leads! A weak character is a Mary Sue who gets everything handed to her on a silver platter by both the authors and other characters in the story!
The girl in this story is strong! She recognizes her weakness! She goes through a beautiful natural character growth! She prioritizes her values over anything else (in the beginning of the story we see how desperately she clings on to her life and towards the end we see her not wanting to run away from the general even when death is certain)!
Reading this story was such a breath of fresh air from all the other all powerful Mary Sue type characters!
What’s with the romanticization of r*pe? Like when I first read that scene in the beginning I was like okay he r*ped her so why instead of hating him the first thing she did when she saw him again is blushing? And then later in the story we see the girl looking back at that encounter with the Third Prince with fondness??? Like that sends such a messed up image. I don’t get why the author didn’t just have the sex in the beginning be consensual, like our girl is from modern times a one night stand wouldn’t have been a big deal for her? If it did turn into a consensual one night stand the aphrodisiac would have needed to been taken out of the story though to have made it consensual for the guy. Also, throughout the rest of the story we see the guy constantly making sexual jokes towards her where she keeps stating that she is uncomfortable and he also keeps forcibly kissing her? To make matters worse I can’t even be mad at the guy for this because the girl keeps blushing and sending both readers and the guy universal signals that she’s into him? Wtf.....this isn’t how you write a woman character!!!!!
I agree with the romanticing rape I dont get it either but I feel like it wasnt really rape. She didnt seem that she was fighting it in the beginning, she was acting coy but shes seemed interested from how I read it. Only after when she meets him again shes all angry so I'm like 'huh why she mad, was it rape then?' I feel like the artist wasnt very clear on what happened there.
End of Chapter 9, during the flashback scene, we see the guy tearing the girls clothes off without permission and the girl yelling in surprise. In Chapter 10, the flashback scene continues, and the girl states: “Wait, I’m not ready...I can’t get away from him with my limited strength...He’s stimulated by the drug. He’s mighty” and then the scene blurs out to the next morning where she contemplated killing him. Like even if the girl found him handsome and talked about enjoying the kiss that scene was still clearly r*pe. She stated she wasn’t ready and wanted to get away from him, but was unable to because she wasn’t strong enough.
Well that's true.... I seen alot of rape in these types of webtoons it's like it's normal occurrence like a ritual for a manhua. But I feel like right in the beginning she knew he was drugged on aphrodisiac and u even saw his bulge (usually dont show it) lol she should know though that it's very dangerous even if she was a dr trying to help him. I'm not saying it was right and he had the right to but I feel like she kinda wasnt helping the situation at all.

At the time she believed she could counteract the aphrodisiac using acupuncture (she knew medicine) plus she needed money since she was running away from home. Not that it matters but that was the only reason she didn’t immediately leave/ignore him.
Imagine how cute this story would be if after our girls first meeting with the Emperor Lord she became his disciple? And instead of the story we have now where the girl is constantly running away from suitors she is at an academy working hard to be respected as the Emperor Lord’s disciple? Also, the whole reborn thing could’ve easily been taken out and instead of being 13 the girl could’ve easily been in her early to mid twenties (because people in this world live long it wouldn’t be strange for her to start school at that age and this would make romantic relationships with immortals at least somewhat better)? Like imagine the potential and power that story would’ve had? Especially if the Emperor Lord saw in a dream to choose the girl as his next disciple/only woman disciple and he himself didn’t really believe in her?
Like imagine my disappointment when the EL talked about her becoming his concubine instead of his disciple? Not to mention the fact that the EL stated to himself in the carriage that she wouldn’t be with him for long....like that pissed me off so much. We know ur immortal and instead of trying to help the girl you’re into cultivate to immortality with you, you either don’t want to or think she’s incapable of doing so?
There is no reason the girl should’ve been reincarnated/reborn into this world as a 13 year old when all of her suitors have been either in their 20s, 50s, 1,500s, and 3,000s. There is also no reason that the original girl who died should have only been 17. What is the point of making her body of a child’s and of her mentality as a teenagers when this whole story is about the girl being courted by and constantly needing to run away from old ass men?
To make things fair the girl should’ve died of old age in her old life (so she could have those years of maturity) and been reborn as someone in her twenties (the age immortals in this world look as if they are in). Also, if the girl is gonna be too weak to stop these immortals from turning her into a play thing then either take out the existence of these immortals in the story, weaken their powers, or make the girl’s political authority so strong where these immortals can’t touch her. Although, like in this story, if all the main leads are obsessive manipulative trash then even the suggestions I made can’t save the story. But at least with my suggestions it wouldn’t feel as if we are constantly watching a young child being manipulated by old ass men. It would feel more like an even playing ground.
1000000% agree. I started off liking this but now it's just terrible. At least in other stories the men aren't literal piles of trash that go after children and most of the time the FL has a way to fight back
Title is self-explanatory, please help me find others like this! A long story with a strong female lead and romance not being the main focal point/not being the reason why everything is solved!
If anyone wants some suggestions themselves I highly recommend: Chouka Kou, Pupillary Master, Feng Ni Tian Xi, The Flower that was Bloomed By a Cloud, and Kusuriya No Hitorigoto!
I’ve also read these which are somewhat similar to this story, but I wouldn’t normally recommend to people who aren’t already into cultivation stories since I don’t consider them “masterpieces.” Ghostly Doctor, Peerless Alchemist, Genius Doctor, Shen Yi Di Nu, Fenglin Tianxi.

Yooo I wonder if the black haired guy who just came back from the war is being so nice to her because he desires the throne ? Also, what was the disagreement they had earlier about in the first place? & I’m shook that black haired red eyed maid was able to get away with so much? Like the ml girl could’ve literally walked in on that maid with her concubine and sentenced them to death during the first couple chapters?
Also, I’m simping soooo hard for the dark skinned knight. He also seems to be the only person to think that she’s acting like a different person? I’m also curious as to why the ml girl hasn’t really gotten close to any other concubines besides Nadaroka? Or does she just want to be loyal to him?

The reason why she hasn't really gotten close to any other concubines beside Nadricka is that she respect their decisions to stay with her or not. If they say they want her she will welcome them. Opposite of Yuriel who knows how to seduce them for her gain
I’m on chapter 34 and I’m soo confused. How does Feng Lan know that the red haired person and the princess are the same person? I re-read all the scenes with them so far but I don’t see how he could possibly know? He has only directly met the red haired girl once so far when they were stealing the golden potion making thing ch 23 and the next time they meet at the school chapter 26/27 he knows that the princess and red haired girl are the same person????????? & the princess isn’t surprised that he knows and doesn’t bother to question him? Like am I missing something?????

I love this! The characters, the humor, the story! I love the way the ML and FL try to outwit each other and those two guards are awesome.

I know this wouldn’t happen in this story since this is a romance, but if this story was real I really hope the girl would deeply consider whether or not the prince was just using her. After coming into this world the only thing the girl “had” was the 3rd Prince. She had no family, no connections, no wealth, no memories of that world, nothing. In the real world if the 3rd Prince was just using her, this girl would be in a terrible predicament because she had absolutely nothing to fall back. Like sis really placed all her bets on this guy she barely knew.
I disagree she didn't trust him at first and feel in love over time if she would of sensed that she's being used she would of betray him.
Literally at first or second chapter she said "In this world I won't trust no one"
