reading this and siding with Moriartys & co has made me even more aware of how disappointed they all would be seeing the current state of universal democracy and world politics
all i can picture is them frowning in a mixture of delusion, disappointment, and anger going "i hoped you would do better"
we need to create a fac-simile of the famous Uncle Sam poster, only with William in the centre and everyone else belonging to the "Lord of Crime"s group around him with the words "DON'T DISAPPOINT ME"
it would be the a good motivational poster tbh
also, am i the only one who read their ideals/plans/goals and went "...so, democratic socialism"?
I know these stories run on clichés and misunderstanding and a few paradoxical idiotic traits from a few character in key positions, but...
1) The reincarnated twins thing is a blatant escamotage to make the twins reason like a reader would so readers connect with them and have them be able to survive abuse and neglect on their own as babies, it has no other use.
2) Why is the imperial family composed of incompetent people who don't really know how to use power and attract faithful allies? Why aren't they more careful of everything they do and say as well as what others do and say, if they are aware of the dangers around them, even inside the palace?
3) Why are the supposed "experts" in the palace such incompetents? Why is there no "guide" figure to teach and help the twins?
4) How about, you know... exchanging more than 2 to 3 5-word sentences when talking about important topics, to avoid miscommunication?
5) ... please, no more dumb, cliché plot twists to lose problematic plotholes. Like the alcoholic mother not being human, or the Ross/Rosea/whatever slimy dude doing all this because of some twisted unrequited and abusive emotional thing he had for the late empress.
Lessa my babeh I am ready to sacrifice everything and love & protect you forever (/TДT)/
