I do kind of feel bad for Han Seori then she says the most outrageous things- Like is my empathy misplaced? And again, valid crash out but good- poor Yebin. (Also glad the father finally got his justice.)

Here’s the thing, Han Seori made every single one of those choices that also had consequences. This story does a fantastic job of showing what it’s like to deal with the reality of someone else’s “flower filled story” where the FL is pretty much relieved of responsibility because of her romance life.
Han Seori had an adoptive family who looked after her and originally only wanted to be happy with the brother. But then she became greedy for material things and used his love for her as an excuse to be able to get away with things she did.
Although our MC was brutal with the way she worded things, she gave Seori MULTIPLE chances to get herself straight and maybe come out of it with something too. But that’s not what she wanted, she wanted to take everything that was never hers to begin with but not having the ability to match her desires.
I mean yeah, it’s rough finding out your mom SA’d your father and only gave birth to you to blackmail him for cash. Then she found out they both would be going to jail. But she could have enjoyed her life with her adoptive mom and been at peace with being included in the MCs family with potential compensation. In the end, she ignored all of the warnings that could have prevented her from getting hurt ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍

Maxi is absolutely insane. First the expedition with little to no knowledge of the monsters/creatures and now sneaking to a war/battle. And I am so happy/ relieved/scared/proud for her. She started as a scared, stuttering mess (not her fault) and always second doubting herself, heck she wasn't even confident in being the lady of the house but now, as reckless as she is, she's grown. Seeing some spoilers, I'm aware angst is to come but I'm just so proud for her.

Holy shit- It didn't hit me till now but Annette (talking about prewar) did not really care about Heiner didn't she. (Ik in earlier chapters she mentioned how handsome and kind he was- even if he was a trainwreck and was in the presence of his torturer/abuser) She also acknowledges it, hell the fucking spy said so himself. I thought she had an inkling to what her father was doing seeing how he was executed in front of her, but no and choose not to ask Heiner when she introduced him as her boyfriend.
I just wished they talked instead of a different set of eyes divulge the elephant in the room, Annette's changed and is more open and understanding than her past noble self. Heiner on the hand needs to heal. His greatest sin was his own sense of mercy of sparing Annette, he didn't kill her. He instead isolated her causing her mental health and physical health to decline, also didn't help the press were pushing horrendous narrative about her which lead to her longing for death.
This is just dreadful in the best way. It flips from Denji and Asa just being teens then oh- gore or cannibalism.
(A hot take but I didn't feel close to Aki or Power - they were good characters but I feel like their deaths were necessary to make Denji more human - since people were saying he's more devil like than human. Reason why Natuya's death broke him.)
