I don't agree with her being hanged, it left me with a bad taste in the mouth
yea two reasons as to why: 1. it feels callous and tyrannical (no one in this ficiontla universe verified shit - it was all hear-say lol and of course the noble will be believed above a maid). and 2. the most important - the villain character got swept to being canon fodder in less than two panels. for me this ruined the manhwa because it's so stupid to build this conflict up for chapters and then be like yea bye whipped and hanged, no dialogue, no screaming, no trial, etc. now it's a sappy "love" story between a tea nerd and her weird ass new husband.
They did hold a trial, it just wasnt shown in the manga. Also, the head maid was also a noble lady so that statement doesn't make sense either. I do agree that it was anticlimactic but that's all. Maybe the story is coming to an end or maybe there will be another trial up ahead. The problem with the head maid went on long enough, only thing that was unsatisfactory was the rushed end. If you dont like it then just remove it from your reading list. I do it to plenty of manga everyday
1. pffft if it wasn't shown, it didn't happen. tf this is how manhwas work, otherwise how could readers keep up with plot lines lol 2. she was a DISGRACED noble lady who felt humiliated having to serve another idiot noble woman for some unknown reason. the moment this recent incident happened she was looked at as a maid and nothing else. Chloe could have lied as she did in her past and people would believe her bc she's the rich one in this situation. we already saw it happen with the head kitchen maid 3. yea, I already marked it as read with one star. not interested in the cringy love story so why tortune myself ya know
It literally said that she was whipped then a trail was held at the imperial court. It was shown, just not in depth so yes it did happen. And her family lacked the money which was why she worked as a made but dont be mistaken, she was still a noble. In this time, most of the maids who work for the duke and imperial family were of nobility so it isn't far fetched that her family made her work there. If she hated it that much then she could've thrown away her family name but instead she chose to show her power over someone who used to be weaker than her that she had bullied in the past. Chloe lied about the kitchen staff incident but there would have to be tons of evidence and testimonies from the other mades for a trial held at the imperial courthouse
lol I don’t know why you’re wasting your time defending such a dumb story, makes me like it even less. Imperial courthouse LMAO as if a peasant EVER had a moment to FAIRLY make her case and actually defend themselves. The moment the nobles accused the maid, the maid never had a chance and you know this. Regardless of her background she was now a maid and died as one.
Chloe was a fucking idiot before the current one reincarnated and that’s why no one liked her. Girl had no spine and had the gall to lie about the kitchen maid situation and who knows what else. The only reason she was still around is because her family had money and influence.
And what evidence?? How can you prove hear-say? PFFT.
Sovieshu you are so fucking vulgar and disgusting
