Gege kept him away from the manga for 3 whole years just to bring him back and kill him off after 20 chapters
Even if he gets revived and goes insane again, then what? the story is not even progressing anymore; Megumi is basically dead, Yuuji hasn't done a thing in so long you even forget the story is supposed to be about him; the villain is so strong not even the "strongest" can do anything about him
What they're gonna do? win with the power of friendship? is Gege just making up the plot on the spot with every new chapter or what
Not even sad about Gojo's death because of how lame it was
I know! His death it’s one that I would excuse or accept. Some many things have been lately that I had to take a break. But this is just getting worse. I think he’s just milking it for all it’s got (the story) and he wound or be the first mangaka to do so. But I’m disappointed because this story is has been a long time, no longer close to how it actually started. Truly one of the worst writings.
i was expecting him to die since the beginning of the story, it's clear that he is kind of a hindrance for the plot to go on; but killing him like this is just fucking stupid
Gege couldn't even be bothered to draw the last blow he took and that's supposed to be satisfying? I stopped reading it around the culling games, started reading again around the time the fight with Sukuna started expecting something good from it but this is just disappointing.
I can't agree that it's the worst writing, but it's not good either; feels very cliché and rushed
even though the artstyle is obviously beautiful, the story is confusing and also kind of a laborious read (minimal character development - world building, continous fights which are, in my opinion, way too dinamic (or the panels are just too busy), too much going on at the same time and it's just tiring)
there's also terms/characters/parts of the plot that are introduced but they're barely explained or really not explained that well.
maybe i just didn't pay attention to details either so there's that far from being a *great* story imo but it's good enough
I think the main reason for that is that we're just starting out. The violence also makes sense considering the fact that the worlds are linked by this odd tower and their administration while the world itself is breaking down. Unlike most stories i don't think it focuses that much in character dev through sweet or motivational talks, it does that through numerous fights.
I think if we progress more into the story we'll get to know things better, since it's clear that there are numerous worlds and to connect them all is going to take time
I tried reading the novel and compared to the original this manhwa is peak writing lmao
ngl I have no clue why redice is adapting something so badly written, they're trying to adapt it as best they can but imo you cant do much with that sort of source material. At least they gave characters some semblance of a personality, but I feel like the art is carrying this hard
It reads like a 14yr olds fanfiction on watpad, you can still notice some writing quirks that appear in orv but i genuinely could not keep reading and I usually love trashy novels. The orv novel isn't a style I like(1st person pov), but it was a choice that had a positive impact on the storytelling, the worldbuilding is infinitely superior, the pacing is great(save for some arcs) comparing it to this one just feels so weird lmao straight up feels like different authors.
To be fair I think the ideas themselves are amazingly interesting but get destroyed by the weird ass writing style, pacing is horrible, not much gets explained so often you're left just trying to figure out how shit works without novels help, theres not much about characters(most of them feel horribly 2d), mc feels completely different, insufferable, honestly I think he was what made me stop reading at some point(crazy bc i really love the webtoon one), the execution is just not there and going into it after orv was def a mistake.
this is after about 40-50ch(dont rem exactly) so idk maybe it had a 180 flip in the latter part but I doubt it.
please don't die please don't die please don't die please don't die please don't die please don't die please don't die please don't die please don't die please don't die please don't die please don't die please don't die please don't die please don't die please don't die please don't die please don't die please don't die please don't die please don't die please don't die please don't die please don't die
now honestly i think it's kinda unlikely he's gonna die just like that.
i'm thinking this is just for shock value; something, something unexpected needed to happen, otherwise it would've been just boring, right? meanwhile the others get a chance to fight sukuna (kashimo has being dying for that ), gojo gets revived and goes crazy OP again or something (which would be meh too because we've been through that once).
but again, if he actually just died like that, that's just lazy and bad writing. wouldn't be surprised considering gege has been killing off good characters since the beginning, but i still have some hope left
I agree, Sukuna one shot Gojo. Gege made Sukuna too strong, next chapter I expect him to slaughter everyone because no one stands a chance and if he doesn't that's bad writing.
The only way the good guys are winning is if Gege gave them major powerups and that's also bad writing.
