I'm not really sure I understood what happened between Jeffrey and the other guys in the carriage on this last chapter... could anyone explain it to me? ( ̄∇ ̄")

Well Jeffrey and Charlotte want to take Evan to Claus because they think it's better for him to be away from all the magic of this kingdom and they kidnapped that guy cause he's the only one who would be able to get back and notify the king of where they are. but then charlotte saw the butterfly and went after eldow. evan wanted to leave but jeffrey told him charlotte asked me to sit quietly so he decided to behave and other dude wants to go back but respects charlotte so he seems to be behaving right now. i'm not sure if this is what was confusing you or not

You mean chapter 72? Well you see, Evan did not answer Jeffrey's question "what do you want from your master", he was silent, vermon tells Jeffrey that he does not want to talk, Jeffrey tells Vermon that Evan has always been like this, when Charlotte is not with him, he never talks to anyone only with her, he tells Vermon about how Evan bit his hand like a wild boar, Jeffrey, seeing that Charlotte does not arrive, decides better to teleport by means of magic, the swordsmen cannot do it only the wizards, that's why he threatens Vermon to help him go to Claus by means of magic, Evan sees at the end the traces of the disaster, giving us to understand that he ordered dk to look for charlotte to find out her location

Oh you mean that? Well, it could be interpreted that way because of Jeffrey's dialogues but Jeffrey will not do anything to annoy charlotte and even less betray her even though he hates Evan, they go to Claus, if he betrayed her it would be a great plot twist but no, He would not do anything like that, in the current raw they have not shown us what happened to them because now we are in the eldow arc and it is the longest because we have a flashback of her past

The fact that she's not after the power behind the throne makes it clear that she might not oppose letting the Iron King be the Emperor, as long as she can help improve the country in another way.
She doesn't want to become Emperor, she just wants her country to move forward and get better, the throne is just a means to that end. If Kuhn helps her realise that she can also achieve her goal without becoming Emperor, I think this would be the ideal outcome for everyone involved.
TBH I don't hate Rovenin. Undine died because our MC wasn't using her full strength to fight a swordmaster, she was being over confident thinking she could beat him with a low level spirit (and she did well, withstanding that long).
It was her fault Undine ended up dying, they were in a duel and it's obvious that they should be going all out and attacking/defending with all their might during a duel. It was her own immaturity/inexperience/overconfidence that caused her loss.
I'm not hating on the MC either, especially not after seeing her wanting to get better and maybe finally show her true colours after this.
I would not have liked her if she had stubbornly tried to remain the same after this.
I'm not going to hate someone for being inexperienced or immature... But I will if they refuse to learn and grow.
You're not exactly wrong, however rovenin and the king KNEW she would lose. The king knew it was impossible for her to win and bc he was butthurt that she beat the guy from his country he had her fight rovenin. And she as well knew and didn't want to fight him, but she had to in order to see the guy
Minor spoiler.
Just too mention, Rovenin is using a fucking heirloom sword that enhaces his strength. He's also 16, and a genius swordmaster...No matter how I look at it, this was supposed to be a friendly duel and he KILLED her spirit (well she's not really dead dead, but HE doesn't know that, he went for the kill). So yeas, he IS definitely a douchebag.
It's like being in a friendly boxing match and someone litterally beats you to death. what a psycho!
I agree. The emperor didn't want to let her meet his "son". What fucker. Trash Emperor and a Trash Dad who's not even deserved to be called a dad.
I just hate the fact that HE asked her to duel and she refused multiple times. Yeah she was cocky but since she was pretty lazy before and didn't train her ability to the fullest (since she was already stronger than everyone) that was basically the best she can do. ANd when he killed her spirit, he just looked away with no remorse. I know it's partially her fault but compared to someone who actually REALLY trained and someone who just went with the flow... we all knew who would've won. IF he wasn't so adamant she would still have undine
It was her choice to do so though. She very well could have given up on seeing her friend, or she could have used another spirit to do a better attack.
But she chose to prioritise seeing her friend and her reputation, and that was the result of it.
Again I'm not hating her, I like that we have a flawed MC and that she's growing and improving. But that doesn't mean I'm going to blame other people for her actions and immaturity.
IKR AND SHE'S JUST A KID COMPARED TO HER OPPONENT WHO CAN PAR WITH AN ADULT (︶︿︶)=凸
1.She has 3 spirit though... the snake is a no-go. And I don't see why fighting with the spirit she's most used to is a bad choice. Isn't it better to use the tool you've mastered in an imbalanced fight?
But yeah she made a poop choice to take a chance. She suffered the consequences.
That doesn't mean we can't blame the two other guys too. One was being a pain in the BUTTer because national pride (I guess), the other was being a brat not accepting that she wouldn't want to fight him just so he can satisfy his want to win against someone strong. (Just realised that could be a case of sore loser/bad winner sandwich (you know the kind that doesn't accept forfeit))
Simply put:
I can blame the guy who cheated on me AND the person who seduced him.
I too do like that we're having a flawed MC but in this part she didn't do much wrong. It was a development for her to actually care about something, to actually want to achieve something. And she's still young, both in her old and in her new life so her choices obv are not gonna be the smartest. They basically blackmailed her into agreeing to fight. I think her decision was right, despite the result.
Someone else already said everything about her fighting, I also want to add that rovenin would've killed our girl. He killed the spirit instead of her. Scary
