Jeannette is an actual bitch. In the novel, Athy chose Lucas as her dance partner and Jeanette said to Ejikiel "They're a good match." In front of Ejikiel knowing his feelings then Kiel got mad at her. Jeannette went to Claude and even called him father. Claude said "Athanasia is my only daughter." She showed him jeweled eyes but it was actually a curse put on her. Her eyes were originally green.
