Reading the part where Jace got raped is so uncomfortable and heartbreaking to me cause he went through it TWICE but because the kidnapper did it, he’s the only one who is punished? The Duke also did it but he’s not receiving any punishment because “Oh, I’m the male lead in this story and Jace will end up falling for me”. Rape is a serious issue and the way the author just used it as a plot device makes it sickening. In any circumstance, rape is disgusting and shouldn’t even be glorified even if it’s done by the one you like or end up liking/loving. My case here is done, gonna drop it now :)
I didn’t mention it here but yes I acknowledge the fact that Jace did in fact rape the duke which is why I said I didn’t like how the author used “rape” as a plot device for the main characters. There are a lot of yaois that do not use rape as a plot device as well. You’re clearly on the wrong side then. POTN is clearly one of the famous one but yeah I’m being a hypocrite for saying my opinion. I read both Shounen Ai and Yaoi so what if I feel uncomfortable reading this? Just stick to your own business then
Okay but yaoi is like hentai with a story. People read it to see the sex scenes, and to read something good. But if we go at a slow pace like most shounen AI mangas, the people would not really read it. That’s why they rush into a sexual scene the first couple of chapters. And how far did you read into this manga? Or did you stop at when the Duke forced Jace? But anyway, rape scenes will always be prominent in Yaoi. Because it’s more about the sexual content, than the actual story. I don’t even know why do people read yaoi if they get dissatisfied with a glimpse of dark fantasy in the story.
If you’re talking about how far I’ve read, then I did read this from the first chap to the most updated here. Well, I do read yaoi for both the story and the sex scenes but ofc everyone has their own preference. Yaoi has a broad spectrum in the way that I prefer yaoi that actually has development, not all yaoi is for the “sex scenes” alone. If you’re here for those scenes only, I respect it. However, in this case that’s where I got uncomfortable seeing which is why I said that I’m dropping it now cause I’ve seen enough already. To each our own in opinions :> I still do read yaoi but I know where my limits and preferences are
Everyone be looking for Taku when these two are our main characters( ̄へ ̄)
Taku and Haesoo had so much scenes together tbh and when Joowon and Haesoo finally got together, this was the first intimate scene after 2 YEARS we got from the author. Taku can step back a moment and wait far longer cause Joohae stans were in a drought
I know everyone loves the story but pls stop complaining about it being short :(( the author said in their ig that they are a one-person operation and they already have a hard time reaching the minimum panels for uploading. For us readers, it takes seconds to minutes to read the panels but for the artist it takes weeks to finish everything. From the drawing to the little details we see, it all takes a lot of time so be patient with them. They said they’re rlly trying their best to give good content. Hope that clears up everything people are wondering and complaining about!
I think I’m gonna cry. Hearing Joowon say “I don’t regret giving up anything for you” makes me really sad and happy at the same time. While growing up, he has always been considerate of both his father and Haesoo’s feelings. He played the perfect son but ofc as humans we all want something. For Haesoo, he always thought about protecting him and their relationship. He’s actually held back a lot this whole time and seeing him just be at lost for words describes how powerful his feelings for Haesoo are. Yes the relationship did go the wrong direction but they matured through all of that. I’m actually happy he pursued Haesoo now cause tbh his dad just keeps forcing things upon him without listening his side. Asian families really be like that huh? Anyways, they deserve each other :( I wish for so much happiness in their relationship, from all the pain they’ve experienced as they grew up
This chap makes me so happy and warm. It’s like a scene of a couple who first started liking each other :> for years Haesoo always acted as if he hated him but now there is a sense of awkwardness when he finally embraced all his feelings. It’s cute tbh cause they will be soon working on building their relationship instead of what they had for the past 10+ years
I love the story a lot already but I’m willing to wait especially when I know how beautiful Jaxx’s artstyle and plots are. I’ll just reread the chaps over and over to get myself hyped up for August
