I agree. Like the longer Hidoku Shinaide goes on the more I love that couple. The longer this story went on the more I disliked them.
Like Hidoku Shinaide started off pretty bad but gets better. They work through things together and the balance between them is better with every passing chapter.
In this story, Fumi gets more and more pushy and demanding and Shunpei has to keep giving in. They're relationship ends up pretty unbalanced.

This is my third time reading and I still don't quite understand, but I think that Iouri was jealous of his mother because he was in a relationship with Adam when he was training to be a shoe maker. Now that his mother has passed away, Iouri has taken over the company. Unbeknownst to the public, Adam is the one that is creating the shoe designs for the company, not Iouri. And in order to have their company become more successful, Iouri does 'favors' for people in higher positions by sleeping with them. Another reason why Iouri does it is because he is in love with Adam, who tells him that he will leave her if he doesn't continue to sleep with them, which would mean that Albakin wouldn't be the top shoe brand anymore. At the end of the chapter where Adam is talking with Barnard, it hints that Adam isobsessed with Iouri as well, and enjoys flaunting him as his possession when he wars his shoes, and how anyone else who wears them doesn't seem to be as satisfying ( so basically, Adam doesn't necessarily love Iouri, but he wants to possess her as an object that he has claimed for himself).
