It was more about them being business partners than real feelings at this point.
Joowon's father blamed Haesoo for Joowon's downfall (him falling for Haesoo) right into Haesoo's mum face.

With Haesoo's mum being disgusted with Joowon's father calculated and selfish behaviour.

She literally told him:
"Stop pretending to be a good man. You don't have our best interests at heart, so stop pretending to.
You are selfish, you know that? Don't use your son as an excuse".

Like she is completely done with that man. She is not only disgusted by his behaviour towards her and Haesoo but she is even disturbed how he wants to direct his own son's life like some puppet (and that he doesn't care about his son's opinion, he didn't contact Joowon first but his agency).

What's more Haesoo's mum finally starts to see that maybe she was also in the wrong.

So it doesn't look like they will remarry in the end.

I think you should reread the story. It was clearly shown that both Joowon and Haesoo hurt each other. Both admitted to that. Their relationship was heavily impacted by their unfortunate family situation which has shaped their relationship for long years.
(But sadist lol?)

Taku has also his own flaws.
And it doesn't look like Haesoo is happy in his new relationship. Which was kinda pushed on him (he literally said he was NOT ready and he needs more time) but Taku started beggining him on his knees.

what makes joowon better in your opinion? i want to try to understand your side because if theyre gonna end up together i dont really have a choice.

the reason i think taku would be more fitting is because he shows his genuine love and interest upfront rather than being discreet and going the extra mile to hurt haesoo. i felt like joowon wasn’t being clear and truthful and that angered me, because they obviously had mutual feelings for each other. it was pointless for joowon to keep the act up, but he continued to do so. i know haesoo and joowon both hurt each other, but it doesnt excuse his actions of being dishonest about his feelings.

taku is young, handsome, and transparent with haesoo. he’s almost TOO good for haesoo, but i still hope thy end up together because it seems like they would form a healthier relationship once time goes on. joowon and haesoo would NEVER truly be happy together - it just wouldn’t work at all in the long-term.

AT this point idrk how this story is going to go bcuz both parties taku and joowon have some flaws but in comparision i think taku is a better option for Haesoo if their love isnt one sided and if taku is actually attracted to haesoo in terms of behavior and looks and not just attracted to him sexually for his body and career. I think joowon and haesoo are seen more like brothers and their love isn't rlly the type you would call romance like idk

But making it short.
The most obvious argument is that Haesoo and Joowon love each other. And they have loved each other dearly for years despite many obstacles. They hurt each other but they also tried to protect the other part in their own way.

It's hard to compare Taku being straightforward with Joowon because Taku's and Haesoo's relationship doesn't face any serious external problems.

Haesoo although he tried, can't force himself to love someone. Whats more he was definitely not ready for a new relationship, had still lingering feelings for his ex partner and the new one was pushed on him when he was in fragile state (and he communicated that).

Taku is getting more desperate and the whole relationship feels uncomfortable and off.
He has his own faults and flaws. In the beggining it looks like his intentions weren't so pure. His interest in Joowon's and Haesoo's bond was also questionable. Him having upper hand (knowing Haesos and Joowons story from Haesoo's novels), the thing with sex tape.
Their relationship is just lacking. Taku caught feelings for Haesoo but Haesoo most likely sees him just as an attractive friend who resembles him from the past.
Taku even admitted himself that it was so easy to get closer to Haesoo ,to whisper things he wanted and needed to hear. He admitted that his feelings are selfish (he knows that Haesoo has feelings for Joowon but he doesn't want to let him go which imo would be a great developm for his character) and that he felt good when Haesoo was sad and needed him.

What's more for example Haesoo has never wanted to be recognized by his looks but only by his writting but now thanks to exhibition it's happening and he is in the center of attention as Taku's muse, not because of his own achievements.

All in all yes I guess Haesoo's and Taku's relationship would be easier (no messy past/family situation or Joowon's career) but they aren't on the same page and you can't force yourself to love someone. Taku is also changing because of the relationship. On the on hand he finally feels love for the first time but then he started getting more jealous, pushy, uncomfortable and unsure.
He was always very confident man but now he is lost for the first time.

Joowon and Haesoo have been in love for years despite many obstacles but their relationship had to be changed. They had to understand their own fault, flaws, reflect on the whole thing, to test if they still love each other or if they should move on. They needed this separation to grow and mature so if they entered the relationship once again they wouldn't be the same people. Of course there is a lot of work before them, communication.
But if they still love each other and want to put the effort to make it work, why not?
