To me i am glad they choose armin, to live he is the one that has been doing the real heavy lifting,. This whole series erwin was just a commander that died giving all the people inside the well, a chance to live AND for that he deserved a long rest but now armin was to take the wheel and lead the servey corps to victory(づ￣ ³￣)づ
